My second upload to the new AP x). Made this just before the new year actually...much love for Kino No Tabi!!
After I saw Tama-neko's interpretation of this scan, I've always wanted to wall this very image. And after being on hiatus from walling since October, I decided it was about time to give it a shot again x).
As a side note: thanks to everyone for their constant support :). It's all those little things in life that seem to count now...and I just wanted to say I appreciate it.

WOAH!! YOU MADE THE SCAN SO ORIGINAL!!! I LOVE THIS!! The idea of a "crumbling world" is very awesome touch!
Can't say much more than that!! FAV

Love the chaotic atmosphere, the cool colors and the warped perspective of the buildings. Oh and the clash of the steam-punk Kino and the high tech background. Nice job and good to see you back Jay! :D

Glad to see it uploaded here :) Really nice design concept of the floor breaking apart and with the city below her. Good use of colour with the monochrome. Great work Jay! +fav

Oh yes, I love. Is so refreshing to see your walls Jay, you always manage to surprise me =] The perspective is really unusual wich is a good thing, at least for my taste alone. Also, I like how the colors go well together even thou the city is B&W. Awesome stuff is awesome. XD

Absolutely stunning! I couldn't access the original scan for some reason, but this wall (and Tama-Neko's work) are beauties. It takes a lot of dedication to photoshop a single scan and intergrate it with perspective and creativity.
I'm rather fond of the tiles, but it's a pity how some of the buildings seem almost too simplistic. The clouds on the right for example, could do with being more cloud-like and less of an amalgation of bubbles. The colour scheme however is superb, and therefore I can only give my compliments.
Well done! :)

Ugh... I like your walls so much that it hurts my balls!
The entire city just feels so cold and empty. Each building even has its own style making it unique. Some are cylindrical, rectangular, many windows, few windows, just line art, transparent, and other variations. This keeps my eyes busy looking around at the cityscape. All the buildings are kept very simple but the perspective and style makes them stand out. It sort of reminds me of Miwa Shirow's style of just doing 2-3 tone buildings in a post-apocalyptic world.
I like how the tiles are not leveled and transparent. It lets the background through and looks awesome. The information embedded into them was a great way of doing it since it seems like it's a part of the wall. It's also kind of a tribute to the wall you drew inspiration from. Kino looks great vectored and I like the new colors. The black outlines and bold shadows makes the colored parts of her stand out even more. This is a style I am starting to like a lot more.
One thing I don't like is the cloud stack on the right. I think you could have stacked 2-3 together and gave them transparency. Maybe more puffiness on the contour too. Right now I am imagining some woman using those fans which is just a flat piece of material attached to a thin stick on a hot day lol.

Ohh this crumbling bg is pretty trippy isn't it? 8D I like the bold blocky way you vectored the character - it fits with the blocky graphic style of the bg! It's good to see you walling again. I missed your stuff. :3

Cool it's pretty trippy.

Yet another lovely wall Jay~ <3 Gotta love all your Kino no Tabi walls. The vector work is very clean and crisp. I like how you designed the abstract background with the skyscrapers and make it seem like the floor is slowly disappearing. Nice effects on that! ;)

I just got home and I see this!!! This is TOTALLY WICKED and PURE AWESOMESAUCENESS. \m/ I love it! The perspective's really cool too! Also, you raelly did a nice interpretation of it. <3 Both your and Tama-neko's work really has a nice, deep interpretation. :D

I really love the walls you make, but you choose the darnest places for signatures ^^; I love the hiragana text, but the rest is sort of in the way. The perspective is too amazing for words and the black/white buildings make the colored tiles + character look even more surreal. Love it <3

I'm sorry I don't have time to say more at the moment, but I just had to say that this is really nice especially the perspective. Also love the little japanese words accent at the top left :)
