Time to upload an old wallpaper, although there was a better day to submit this not long ago.

I finally found the right time to fix up this wallpaper from the recently finished Minitokyo Knockout Competition (round 2). I know I should have done this a long time ago but I couldn't be bothered with Illustrator being so laggy.

The theme was "I love you" (name of the wall, apparently...Lazyness)

I chose Katanagatari mainly because of it's unique art style. The series also had many great scans, ended up using this one. I vectored it, and added a different background as it would have been too empty and non-creative. So instead, I created one myself trying to copy the exact same style (I'm completely not used to it). The colors are more in the same color scheme now, I also changed the pink, made the heart white (it really is better) and changed the lighting after getting kicked out the competition.

I can't be bothered making it any longer, so I hope this is enough and better than before.

I rea-aaaaaaaaally love the layered colors of the BG. PINK goodness there. XD The colors are complimenting each other well too! The textures are nice and subtle. There are some jagged parts but overall, this is a nice, clean, and crisp wall. <3

I could not agree with Horseradish more. When you view this wallpaper in full view it is stunning. I love the way you have used your color palette, and this is a nice clean work. A very nicely done wallpaper; congrats on the execution.

Great wallpaper that keeps Katanagatari's style.

I haven't finished the series yet but I watched a good chunk of it. I like how the colors tier in all the shading. Especially in the background where it forms a heart. I find his face funny because it's sort of a 'cool guy' face.

Agree with Horseradish this wall has a nice layered colors with all shades of pink. The textures really fit the wall and the vector is sharp and clean. Overall awesome wall! +fav! ^^,

I find the meaning of the scenery with the story line ironic. Nevertheless, the lightening and fixture is fitting. Wish you done little editing with the male eyes themselves. Still, good job overall.

i really like this wallpaper! you kept the similar style that the anime uses along with the color theme. Even though it is a bit too empty I still really like this wallpaper. It's a bit cliche with nothing too dynamic or dramatic happening, but it's still very fun to look at and a very enjoyable piece of art! :D
