My first wallpaper. I used my vector of Nanael and Menace, as well as vectoring all of the background save for the clouds and light beams (brushes courtesy of deviantArt). From the start of the character vectors, to the finished wallpaper product, it took me about 18-20 hours total. I had originally vectored the clouds as well, but I wasn't satisfied with how they turned out so I fell back on brushes.

I had a request for Menace in a wallpaper, but decided to go a step beyond and do Nanael and the environment as well, and I'm pretty content with how it turned out. I was surprised at how well the palm tree came out, as well as Nanael.

The original image had 5 characters across the beach, I only vectored two of them, so the left side looks sort of empty. I didn't want to do more than these two though.

Well done on your first wallpaper, the vectors are excellent and the overall theme of the wall comes together beautifully!

I think it was a good choice to use brush clouds instead of another vector, they give the whole beach scene a nice realistic anime appeal.

The only thing I can suggest for improvement is the clouds placement near the water. Because both water and sky are far larger then the eye can detect, we never have clouds disappear into the ocean, but rather into more blue sky. Having a few more clouds but making them smaller and leaving a gap of blue sky over the water will make the whole wallpaper flow to perfection in my book =).

Again awesome job, I look forward to move of your work in the future.

I don't think the clouds and rays of light really blend in at all. =/ Maybe another attempt at vectoring them would be good, if not, you could try blurring the whole background area to make it less noticeable and give focus to the characters.
