Given how devastating the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan was, I found this CNN report on the low amount of personal donations given to Japan so far to be shocking:
Donations have reached nearly $23 million so far, according to an early tally by the American Red Cross and the Chronicle of Philanthropy, a newspaper covering nonprofit organizations.
That number is far below the first four-day totals of other recent natural disasters. More than $150 million was raised toward relief within four days of the crisis in Haiti, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. In the case of Hurricane Katrina, donations exceeded $108 million during the crucial first four days.
The stories coming in in this disaster's aftermath have been absolutely heartwrenching. Unfortunately with natural disasters like this, people's memory tends to be short as the world media moves on to other headlines. Please give what you can to any number of aid organizations that are helping with relief efforts - even $5 or $10 donations will help! You should also check out Charity Navigator's article on organizations best positioned to help with relief efforts in Japan, as well as tips on how to give responsibly.

What a good job!
I will fav it directly. ^^
About the situation in Japan I will not explain my feelings because I have a lot of friends in this country... I only have to said that I'm happy there is people like you to talk like this and I'm fond with you on this case.
Please help these people to regain their life with a few donation if you can.

OMG, FLYINNNNN<3
My prayers go out to all the people of Japan. Hopefully they can suppress the critical nuclear reactor.
That aside. Deadman Wonderland is an amazing manga and this wall really captures that's going on right now.

Cool paper.. I really like the background.. So bright and it's like the dull place.. The boy looks like frustating but his expression doesn't really like the frustating person.. If u edit it I think it will be nice.. Anyway keep your good work..

Thanks for this wallpaper and for your support to all Japanese. Your wall shows the chaos and despair that many Japanese people live now. These disasters (tsunami, earthquake and nuclear) really touched me and I sincerely hope that this situation will soon improve and will never happen again... Your wall is really an excellent job, we can feel this empty and disarray. Fav

This is great. Nice tone nice colour scheme. Brings out the feeling of destruction aftermath perfectly. The use of the white areas are masterful and the minimal colour contrast brings the mood.
Maybe the boy should have a more sorrowful expression and that would totally bring out the feeling. Right now his expression looks a tad bit 'angry'?

There are still earthquakes happening in Japan right now. (TT^TT) Our prayers also goes out for Japan and its people.
This is a really nice wallpaper. Not just because of the elements and concept in it but the tribute and dedication as well to the people who are suffering right now in Japan. 'Nuff said.

The grunge is amazing. Great job on the text as well.
It's really heartbroken that people are not donating as much as they did with previous disasters. I can only hope things will change.

It’s just awful what happened to Japan recently. Nature’s fury can’t be taken lightly and the devastation it brings with it… We can only hope for Japan well-being and that they will be able to overcome this crisis and move forward.
Regards the wall,
It’s a nice wallpaper-composition. It really captures some of the essence of the manga. I’m really looking forward to how the anime series will turn out.

Haven't seen a Deadman Wonderland wallpaper for a long time. Nicely done. As for the theme, and the background story, pls support Japan and donate whenever you can. Its really hard to loose the stuff over in just an incident, esp one that is natural and you can't prevent it. がんばれ!

Thank you for dedicating a wall for Japan. Although I wouldn't want to display a depressing image that symbolizes the terrible destruction on my desktop, it's a noble effort to help bring awareness. Thanks for the extra news links too. I barely got any sleep that day watching the news, and especially more so for living on the CA coast where we had to prepare for whatever was left of the surges in the morning. Whew.

I don't know why, but there seems to have a very modernistic feel to it.

Perfect. Unfortunately, this is how some cities in Japan look now. =/ Just loved that style, the text and texture worked well with the whole wall. I'm praying for Japan here, and supporting a campaign that some well-know brasilian sites are making to get donations for Japan. Hope help them. ^^

It's real image. I can not still belive news from earthquake in Japan. White space and shadow in the wallpaper is drawing empty heart and mind after the absolute disaster and horror. I think aftermath is longer than destruction.

It's so sad something like that happening in Japan, in time like this I think I don't believe in God,.. why something terrible is happening to people. I hope that everything will be good soon. To bad I have no ways to donate... hate my student card system.

Really nice job, as for the pictures than for the text (I really love the text)... It shows well the disaster in Japan... =(
Besides, thanks for your support towards Japan, they really need it...!

Thanks for stepping in and reminding us of what it is that makes us human. I've already connected with a few friends concerning the ongoing situation in Japan. I have family and friends there; and thankfully they are not in the mist of the disaster area, and in gratitude I feel that I should, not only pray for the recovery of Japan, but also find a way to do something more tangible.
What makes an individual human, is to be empathetic enough to feel the suffering of another and to want to end that suffering. I am often disgusted by the fact that so many people seem to completely fail this simple test of humanity. I want to echo `flyindreams' request that we act, by saying: Please do what you can. Even the tiniest act defines you. Be empathetic enough to feel the suffering of another and to want to end that suffering. Every act and every donation that mitigates the suffering, will make a positive difference.

Thx for posting a wall that can raise awareness for this disaster...I actually underestimated the scale of disaster after japan's earthquake until yesterday, prayers to you all japanese people T_T
I actually just donated some money for the red cross today but I'm not gonna say the amount since it'll just make me look like a braggart (or a cheapskate....depending on how you see it -.-), but I hope it can help them even just a little bit
anyway + fav ^^

Oh ma got!
A DMWL wall! You did a great job blending the character with the stock. The character looks frustrated at all the things he lost. I like the color scheme with the vanilla, tan, and violet colors. Thanks for the extra bit of info.

That's so sad... I think we should keep contributing... I am from Louisiana near New Orleans, and I think we especially should contribute now that we are back on our feet (a little at least).

This is a really gorgeous wallpaper. The texturing and colour blending is very finely done and subtle.
Thank you for drawing attention to the Japan earthquake and tsunami through this.

The blending looks really good and composition is well thought out. Of all the wallpapers of this series I see here today, only this one gives me that Deadman W. vibe I’m looking for. Great work!
