Zhen Ji from Dynasty Warriors 7. This one was very frustrating, as I knew I wanted to make a wallpaper using this artwork, but I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do with it. After some fiddling around, I finally came up with the idea to use the tentacle-shaped things in multiple colors. From there I started working on the background more. Overall I really like it, and it's a nice change from always having "light" themed wallpapers on my desktop, as this one has a much "darker" feel.

Wow, this turned out beautifully. I really like how all the different effects come together and it doesn't feel too overdone or crowded. I love how the swirls and bursts of light imitate the effects of her flute. Nice text, too!

Just like you've said, I agree that this wallpaper has a much 'darker' feel than you would have intended. This feeling probably originated from the left side of the wallpaper, where compare it with the rest of the paper. Your shading and lighting effects fits well with the title, and perhaps the game which I have never played. Perhaps another one is coming out? (kinda looking forward to it... haha)

The lighting effects really brightens the character up, overall I think you've achieved a darker feel :) Glad that it's not crammed with effects so that there's nothing bothering the icons.

Wow, I really love the ephemeral feel of this piece! You did a very nice job with the glowy, swirly looking things, and the little balls of light are a great touch. I also really like the enveloping textures. Overall, you've done a really great job! :)
