Bakuman The Artist Soul

As for using that guy's image, he apparently vectored it from an official image, so it's not like you're using fan art (which is against the rules here). I guess it'll have to suffice that you mentioned/linked to him out of courtesy, considering that he's banned (actually, how did you even find that image? I can't see his profiles or gallery at all). I hate to confirm your concerns but the background is too simple for me compared to how much work you put into that one part of the image. I have to say the text is not working at all for me as well.
The problem is that the colored part looks so damn good (honestly I would've thought it was done by a paid professional if I didn't know otherwise) that it's disappointing that the whole image isn't colored like that (not sure how to put it, but it's kind of distracting to my eyes). If you had filled up the entire image with a bunch of manga pages layered up like that, and colored them like the one page there, that would be an instant highlight, and one of the best wallpapers I've seen here

is an awesome work, but also maybe for the bg, a bit unbalanced, i think a way to fix the bg without doing something complicated is extending the pages behind the painted page, the paint is excellent (worth it) and you could use it more, i think the bg doesn't make justice to the beauty work on the rest, the text, the title on more pages or vignettes on the table would have more sense as kind of order according to the manga theme itself, some grays would be nice to the inverse manga idea, is a great idea, I understand very well the sense about you explain xD see ya

the idea of this wallaper is really creative showing how a mangaka doing his job and what kind of people supports him its all in one its really amazing i mean the manga showing us and teaches us how much hard work a manga has for making one good manga how much he worked for it giving his alll to make it really good :D i like this manga + this wallpaper :)

The design concept is really good. But how about try make the BG into gray or brown colour, it may look more designer feel...

And the title, my suggestion is try to improve some typo feel, because it just giving me a normal feel....

I have to say that I am in awe of your coloured panel... O.O I honestly would have thought it was a professionally painted image, an official art image... just Wow.

The background unfortunately doesn't do your image any justice. I love the idea however, but it's lacking that shading that would make all the difference.

LOL. You finally finished it! YAYZ. But----I'm going to be honest about your wall:

Your vexel of the image is absolutely high quality. The "unfinished" vector pages are a nice addition to the BG. Overall, I love the sketchy, unfinished, ragged look of your wall. But somehow, I wish the main image is also tilted so that it wouldn't look too plain or static as it is right now. The wood texture of the desk is really nice BTW. There's still room for improvement for this one. I have a few suggestions to make which you are free to choose whether you'll take it or not. :D

• Adding more papers and some crumpled papers together with the BG would be nice.
• Adding color also for the desk would be nice.
• Adding some color to the unfinished pages would make it more realistic (but the colors would have to be unfinished too, if you get what I mean----like a draft or something). :D
• As I've said earlier, tilting the main image would add some perspective to it. BTW, the vectored hand and pen is really neat and crisp.
• Personally, the text doesn't really work out for me. D:
• Adding in more art materials would make more realistic too (together with the other papers/crumpled papers/drafts). :D
• Lastly, the title should be "The Artist's Soul" instead of the artist without " 's ". ^^v

I have to admit, while I love Bakuman I have been having trouble finding a wallpaper for it that I actually... like. Most of them just seem off or look too "in your face" to be my kind of wallpaper. This one is nice and simple, but at the same time shows the work and effort that not only you have put in, but also the original artists. I love it!

I don't like the text :( Maybe if you added a little wood behind the sheets of paper...great concept though :)

Wow, this is really cool!

The concept is creative and it resulted in a very original wall. I really like it. The only thing I point is the text: I think it doesn't work very well. I suggest to remove it and to solve the problem of the empty space left maybe you could add some more art materials, other manga pages or cheat and change the wall resolution (instead of an 16:9 wall make it an 4:3) ^_^

Love it, love the soft coloring and the (quite well done) mixing of color and B&w! I'm thinking maybe the drawing hand should have been in color too? Just a thought...
