Just a wallpaper I've been working on for a few days. Started off just wanting to do something with the gear and clock motif for Homura but ended up wanting to try something similar to a weird witch barrier effect and ended up mixing them together.
Vector of Homura done by me. Brushes used for the gears and a clockwork texture which I can't find anymore. The backmost layer was vectored by me as well.

in fact I only have a 6 hour shift although they basically told us "be prepared for a mandatory extension to 8 or 10 hours"

Wow, I remember a long ass time ago I said something along the lines of "You and me have similar interests" or something, and this wall is a perfect example. The second this scene aired I thought it would be an amazing wall and look who went and walled it. Nice job!

I like version 2 better. The colors add something to the overall image. In contrast, version 1 is just so neutral.

Yeah, I would have to agree that version two looks cooler. The colours and texture really add a whole psychedelic feel to it, and that works well with the way you've cut the original image, and how prominent the hand is. Plus the wheels look better if there aren't so distinct in my opinion.

Her hidden eyes make her be more cynical and mysterious. Gloomy colors and light in the wallpaper is flowing dramatic atmosphere.

R2's color really got the style of the anime. Like it, maybe you could highlight the ring to make something stands out in the whole wall.
