I not very sure if I can call the design abstract, since the used effect is like a water, and thats a bit towards scenic, plus a font which is like a graffiti text. Not too much like a postcard, if you ask me. Since you used a vector of somebody else, you realy should work more on your own parts, and thats the background. Is not bad for first, but could be better with more careful element selection.

Im not too fond of the text there in the background..Maybe another font would have been a better choice. I also thing the brush in the lower left corner could have been left out. It looks a bit out of place to me. I do like the water effect you used and the whole idea of a postcard. Be sure to credit the vector you used in your description as well. A link to where you got it from would be nice for crediting the artist of it. Nice work though, keep it up!
