Full Metal Panic Escape

I like the mood but the background is a tad too realistic. I'm not sure what that stream of light is, but overall nice ^^

the grunge effect works well though i'm in agreement that it does seem a bit too realistic for the anime but that just adds to creativity. thinking out of the box and making something more or less realistic can be alot of fun and although chibi drawings are probably the most common examples of this that appear in people's heads, the other side of the spectrum is cool too. good job

o.0 This wall looks incredible, I'm really speechless .. Love your choice of scans and how you set the stage - completely captivating and immersive, makes me wonder "what are they running from? what's gonna happen next?!"

I love what you've done with the scan and the way the characters are integrated with the stock photo. I like the edgy mix of realistic background and washed out look of the characters, I think it makes this wall one of a kind.

Looking very closely though, I wonder what happens if you subtly turn parts of the background more like the characters (washed out colours with thin outlines) esp on the parts closer to the camera - and keep the rest looking realistic.

Love the torchlight beams, looks awesome - although the beam hitting the floor looks too bright and too strong for a normal torchlight. Then again, art is art, not physics :)

VERY cool! Haven't seen a wall like this- and for FMP, no less. Love how you did, well... everything! They blend in perfectly, and the background matches nicely. Not only that, it's a very original style. Give yourself a pat on the back for this one!

I think the actual depth looks on cue here! The color really gives the "real life into anime" mix which proves that with the background and also the expression really gives the words "Escape" into thought! What I think of this wall makes it my next wallPAPER ;). I love FMP and you just proved without a shadow of a doubt that I think this is the best action style wallpaper I have ever seen! This my friend is a fav for sure and my new wall ;). Cheers!

From what I can see this is a nicely done wall. I normaly don't like that texture...but it looks good in this. It has that I want to escape look to it and that's what I think you were going for. GOOD JOB!!

Nice work! I can imagine those stream of light being the after-effects of bullets going there way. I also like the colors and the way the fore- and background merge. Really well done redoing the scans (and extracting them). I usually don't like such wallpapers - but this one is somehow special. Great work!

This is quite interesting. The background does look a tad realistic, but that's fine. The lightening for this was done well. Great job on creating their "missing" parts. Colors are especially beautiful as well. Funny how the background fits perfectly to their postioning. Very good job.

This rocks! I think you've managed to strike a balance between the more realistic background and the scan here. The composition is very dynamic, with a sense of motion; the hallway and the beams (laser sight?) perspective create distance; and Chidori looking back macks you wonder just what there is further back down that hallway. Props for making such an excellent wall!

I like this scan of Sousuke and Chidori ^________^ They are really a cute couple ^O^ I like the idea of the background in the wallpaper! Although I agree with Phoenix, it does look a bit too realistic =P But it creates a great mood in the whole wallpaper =3 And I do believe the stream of lights are the people with torches which are looking for both Souske and Chidori =P That's what they look like to me ^______^

And one last thing. THANK YOU for the info about FMP returning I've been wondering when FMP will come back ^________^

the background and the scan look great...and also I dont think that the background is too realistic for the image of the two characters, infact it goes well with it...the whole mood and tone of this wallpaper looks great and this was real stand out from the rest.

I think the wallpaper is beautiful, my only critique would be the actual colors used on the characters. They look too light for me, but beyond that......it's still gorgeous. Good job! :)

I like this a lot! It reminds me of the style of the original illustrations in the novels (I'm guessing that's where you got the scan from?) It's nice to know someone else wanted another serious series. I love comedy but I guess FMP just feels empty to me without the crew of the TDD-1, so maybe the OVA will hit the spot better than Fumoffu? Anyway, lovely paper. Really nicely done. =^_^=

I really like the look of that - you incorporated the scan pretty well into that background. As for the background itself, the enhancements and stylizations you applied to it to make it look like something out of a well-drawn cartoon is very impressive =]

I agree with you, I can't wait until the FMP OAV comes out in May - I hear it's going to be about a day in the life of Tessa, which should definitely be interesting. FMP is such a great series, hopefully following this OAV will be another FMP series featuring our favorite characters, Kaname Chidori and Sagara Sousuke :D

I love Full Metal Panic, and this wallpaper truly reflects the intense action from the series. This would make for a great advertisement for people who haven't yet seen the series. I especially like the gunfire effect that you created and the way you have Sousuke and Kaname fleeing the enemies attack. Overall a great wallpaper. Keep it up...

Great wall. I actually like the realism (as I am a realistic pencil artist). The only thing wrong I can see with it, is Kaname's breasts, they look like they are almost detached, (the line near the upper part of her breast, her left side, is too far up.) But then again that might of been the orginal artists fault.

Truly nice work with the color. I've only just come across FMP and its already by far one of my favs. a lot like trigun i have a hard time trying to find good FMP wallpapers. once again...great wallpaper :P

Very very nice redrawing of the characters. It makes the wall look like some painting instead of the usual ones. Very refreshing change. Your effects on the 'bullets' are really nice too. Exactly right size so that it doesn't get mistaken for laser beams or something else. Great wall! :)

I am still on the part where it just does not do much justice to the wall in terms of color, but I don't also like the manga version cause they look too "bishonen" style, the whole however, screams movement, and it reminds me of Prison Break.

this wall is AWESOME!!! the color pick is really impressive and i loved it very much!!!! the effects on the background is also amusing as well... Sousuke and Chidori looks like they were tailed by some sort of enemy... What can i say, this is really a good wall and Chidori and Sousuke looks very mature and cool in this wall!! the underground tunnel gives a feeling in distance and space, not to mention the light emitted from the torch which also contributes to this effect...The effect of the lighting made the situation as though it was sunlight shone upon them...A great piece of wall indeed, NICE JOB!!! ^^

I really like the effect you used on Kaname and Sagara. They really look vivid. The background is a bit too realistic and sunbeams or bullets that come from there get your attention too much.
