"Alfiere" is an Italian word, meaning the junior officer in an infantry regiment who was the carrier of the ensign flag (I don't know the right english word). But I think he's more a fantasy alfiere.
This is a drawing I made with traditional techniques (watercolors). Exactly they are 2 drawings, one for the background, one for the character and the flag. I drew them separately and then I paste them together (with glue, no photoshop).
I just wanted a wallpaper with a my drawing so i made this.

omg this is beautiful! bellisimo! the flag, the sky, i feel it like night and day D: amazing just lovely, he looks a bit stiffly but i guess the infantry maybe affects his appearance, i always wanted to learn watercolors D: is just a good work :D

you're right, it's not a totally anime-style drawing. I have many stylistic influences, ranging from manga to American comics, from French comics to Italian ones. =)
