Finally I don't have to rush...It's not often I get enough time to myself to complete a vector of this complexity and magnitude. I had a hard time deciding when to blur and when not to blurr.. I'm a litterally to liberal with the blurr tool... What can I say It's my friend... not to mention it's essential for realism.... but I digress... Please enjoy..I'll be posting a progression chart in the next 24 hrs...
Oh and if anyone knows where I can find the complete BG from the original scan.. Please let me know...
Thanks to everyone who pointed out the bleeds. Sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes.
Also I uploaded a hard unblurred version but Personally It's not the right kind of shading to be that way but It was requested... It's Revision 2...

Pretty well done, kinda large resolutions though. I very appreciate that you extended the scan (that is one of the motivations for a vector in my opinion). What software did you use for it?
This is a good vector, but I still have some points of critiques. Because of the high resolution I was able to spot some bleeds, but you won't be able to spot it when it is used in a wallpaper or when the vector is in a lower resolution, so there isn't a real need to fix that (I even doubt many people would notice). Furthermore there are some places where I think there are some inconsistencies in the lineart, but that may be your style / intention.
Anyway good job on the vector
Ps. For the background, it seems like it is a clean logo of Blazblue", you can google it on images by entering "Blazblue logo". I think you can find something you like and can use. You might need to vector the logo as well though.

Thanks...I used PS CS# actually...I have not been able to afford the upgrades yet.. I noticed the bleeds myself, and I guess I did not catch them all....If you tell me where they are I'll get rid of them.... Bleed are a no no! It's hard on my 13" laptop screen...If I stare at it too long everything just vibrates..no excuse though...
On extending the scan....Well I looked at the different scans of her and since she is almost facing you square on I slightly mirrored her and drew out the blade by hand...referencing other scans.

Overall, I'm always a fan of your vectors, but I do have one point of critique. The shading on the body is too much single shaded if you compare it too the original. I also find it too saturated in certain areas. Just my opinion though, so feel free to ignore me ^^ Nevertheless, great job and nice extending!

Vectoring's pretty good as usual. The lines are nice and clean too. Again, the way you blurred the colors are a bit too much. Also, there are more shades in the original scan than in your vector. Nice job on extending it though. :D

Good vector again, I also thought first creating a Blazblue scan, but seems that I ahve no time to make something very serious. The vector is good as usual, but I share the opnion of Chanel, that the blur is a bit more as it should be. Maybe question of tastes though.

Well would you like to see a version with a hard edge to compare it too? I saved a version of that layer in the PSD file I'd be happy to upload it as Version 2!

Oh this caught my eye! Though unlike the origanl scan that skin isnt as smooth. Some mid and dark tones would have made it more awesome. Though i have to admit that the mecha stuff is pretty awesomely done :3

F*ck yeah, moar Blazblue madness!
Awesome vector, even though I did spot some slight errors. Since you asked to point them out for you, here's a snap:http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/6600/jhhhm.png
I don't know, however, if the inconsistency between the outlines and the shading is intentional, but I did point some out anyway. Also, I'd like it a lot better if you reduced the blur on the shading of the body to that of the face. That's just personal preference though.
Kudos for your effort and the big resolution.

Phew.. I was choosing BlazBlue scans to vector and this was in really really high priority, but in the end I've chosen another.
Great job!

Good work, clean and rather neat, I prefer the white version because the colors used for the background aren't so good than the vector, I think...

FWIW, I like the 2nd one best -- I like the sharper lines -- especially in a vector, since if someone wants to re-use it, they have the option to blur it, but if only the 'blurred' option was available -- sharpening isn't as easy to do and get right.
Thanks for posting the options!

As i told you before, i think this vector is quite difficult, god the skin seems so hard to do, and you could manage that very well, the machina part wow amazing! >_<
