Felt like submitting a simpler artwork for a change. I love chibis. I believe they are my joy in life. =) I scouted around and picked this artwork of mine to turn into a wall partly because it is one of the few non-fanart chibis I have (seriously they're quite a collection) and partly because it gives me such a happy feeling.
These are two original characters, Midnite and Star, roughly based off of my best friend and I. They have their own story as well but since they are also influences of ourselves, I tend to draw them in many different situations. I bought the FRUITS street-fashion photo book a few years at a con and always wanted to do a homage to the fun and quirky style. I love how they throw so many different elements and designs into their outfits and accessories, making something totally their own no matter how mixed up it is.
I decided to add lyrics by Ai Otsuka simply because her songs remind me of the Fruits fashion - they're happy, meaningful, or totally random.
We heard you like towers so we put a mosaic of this tower on this tower.

lol I first drew them 7 years ago when we wanted them as mascots for the anime club we started - I thought Nana reminded me of Midnite when the manga and anime came around. ^__^

This one deserves a girly comment: Ahww, that is sooo cute. ;=3 The teasing aside; and me being serious, the truth is your originals are good. My favorite, so far is, "Anti-Navigational." I'm just not ready to make that my official proclamation yet, because you seem to have a lot of good stuff, that I haven't seen; and that you can use to wow me with at some later date. Please, don't stop sketching. I really enjoy seeing your art. Thanks for sharing.

Yea like everyone else said, definitely reminds me of Nana, but in that good still original and not derived way lol..
My only thought would be that I kinda want the musical measure going through the middle to be that same chalky pastel style that the characters are so it looks more stylized. Just a thought though... Great wall!

This is really well done. The colors are soft, but not washed out, which I've noticed happens a lot. Your characters are very cute and their clothes are fun. I especially like that they're chibi--chibi are my joy in life, too, haha. The only criticism I have is that the music notes are so sharp compared to the softer lines of everything else. They seem a little harsh. I think it would have meshed a little more if you had drawn them yourself in the same style as everything else. Overall, though, excellent job!
