Hi! Thanks to machira for this excellent and so beautiful scan of Toshizou Hijikata!

So I vectored him in paying my attention to curve lines and details (especially his eyes). As i didn't like the blood in the original scan, I drew and added other spatter blood in his face, hand and clothes and in the wall behind him.

the most difficult in this wall was the lightning and the atmosphere, and I spent a long time to work on. I finally chose these 2 versions (among 7). I tried to keep the scary atmosphere, put a sharp contrast without distorting or making strange overall. I wanted it to remain harmonious ...

I really like this.. the first version is more appealing though, imo.
second revision def gives that dark feel to it, but the colours in first one version stand out more.

Nice! I really like your vector on this one. The blood splatters could have a bit more red in them as they kinda of just look like ink but it's still really great. I like revision one the best.+fav

Oh @Cliou you are really do have a knack for this sort of thing. You capture the beauty and the depth of an image in it's cleanest and most radiant form... Even the dark! I must +Fav & DL this. My new favorite, Yeah!

I think this is one of the best Hakuoki wallpapers I've seen. It's definitely a favorite. My eyes were drawn to the motion of his hair first and I find it very captivating. I think you did a great job on this and the attention to detail and amount of time you spent on this is very obvious.

Well the scan you used is after all one that screams "wallpaper", I can't complain about the skills since it's pretty simple but with such a great scan how could stuff go wrong, both version are good but I think I prefer the first version!
