It's been ages since I submitted something and I feel as nervous as submitting my first wallpaper. My skills (or the beginnings of the skills I tried to expand) did rust indeed. Being terribly busy with school is death for skills, seriously. However, enough whining. I just found this scan today and wanted to vector it at first but then I just cut out the picture. The bg is this picture and this is the texture I used. Actually I wanted to put both Rukia and Ichigo in it but eventually just used Ichigo. I honestly was too lazy to vector the sky so I used a program for it coughs.
Please excuse the shadows I made, they may not be at the right place. I'm really not good at placing shadows X____x
However, comments are welcome and so is critique. Feel free to say anything you want :3

I find the background and the composition very well done, anyway I consider it would be much better with some effect to make a more realistic blending between the light source and Ichigo. Other details are amazing like the texture overall and the shadow of Ichigo.

The shadow by the leg is a bit long I think, it could be more rounded. The background itself fits to the render, but in my opinion even with the texture looks just too real. Takes quite skill to incorporate a stock into a anime theme.

Well, I like it even though it took not a huge amount of effort to do. I think Ichigo was placed really well and he fits with the overall tone of the picture. So kudos, it may not be a technical masterpiece, but it's still a lovely wall =3
