Hey All!
I was looking through the Fairy Tail wallpapers featuring my favorite character from the show so I figured I would make one myself. I got a screenshot from the anime(the episode where Juvia fights Grey) and vectorized it. Originally it was in color but I struggled with getting a look that I felt showed character. I wanted it to have a feeling of a dreary kinda depressing day and thats when I thought of going into black and white. With the color gone much more of the emotion was able to come through.
The rain was originally going to look like rain but after trying a few different methods I found that it wasn't working out so I skipped it and tried to come up with a title. That's when I thought of Juvia's catch phrase "Drip Drip Drop" that she says when she is in her depressed mood. Soon I had come up with the idea of actually using those words as the rain coming down around her. I am pretty excited with the outcome and am looking forward it any feedback you all have. Thanks!
Revision 2: I have addressed some of the comments and edited the words considerably. I put much more in and stringed them out which gives them kinda a motion blur effect. I have went through tons of different font types and haven't really seen any that fit better than this one. Suggestions are always welcome on that. I have been back and forth as to whether there should or should not be text in front of the character but in this case I decided it helped give some depth.
Revision 3: Took some advice to slant the text to remove the hard vertical lines in the composition.

Quite Interesting That You Used The Words Drip Drip Drop Instead Of Showing The Rain Drops Perhaps If You Could You Might Wana Do A Version Without The Text But With The Rain Drops . You Might Get A Better Result XD

The concept is really good but the execution isn't good enough. I like the fact that you made it monochrome but it still kinda lacks some details and highlights in it. Maybe another shade of gray would be nice to put in it. Also, I love the text here. Making it look like raindrops instead of real raindrops ALTHOUGH, the text is quite large IMO. I would suggest that you bombard the WHOLE BG with the words "Drip Drip Drop"----but make them vary in sizes (also add some that are really small in size to emphasize the focus and distance on the character). As for the small text that I'm talking about, DO NOT make them word for word----string them together to form a LONG phrase of "Drip Drip Drop Drip Drip Drop----" (you get what I mean, it's kinda like the Matrix thing). :D

[text wall and monochrome...] i would suggest to change the font type, adjust the position, or whatever come in your mind regarding the texts. Because this wall heavily will rely on that point...

I definitely love the minimalism of this wallpaper and I think it looks great as a single color. Juvia has always been an underrated character of Fairy Tail and it's refreshing to see her used so well on her own (especially considering the too few Fairy Tail backgrounds there are). This is by far my favorite Fairy Tail paper and one of my all-time favorite anime wallpapers. But now for some constructive crits (as a neat freak, I feel I must: nothing short of Heaven is perfect). I love the drip drop part of this paper, but there are a few places i wouldn't have put any words. I feel it distracts (slightly) to have letters across some of the white spaces of Juvia's body, such as her hair, her cuffs, the bow, and her sash. Perhaps its just the smaller font of these spots that's distracting me. I do appreciate having text in front of her. Also her hands could be made a bit sharper, in my opinion. These qualms are small, so please don't feel that you would need another revision. I had to look hard to find something I even minutely disliked. Applause and two thumbs for Drip Drip Drop!

The 3d rev is really nice! It makes me feel that's a really 'drip-drop' of rain! Still, the 2nd reminds me the Matrix, and it's nice too! Keep it up!

Now that's what I call creativity! I don't really like b&w wallpapers (or pictures in general) but it looks really cool how you managed to use the Drip drip drop pattern as the rain and make them either black or white on the background :) nice idea!

This is great work, and the greatest wallpaper in B/W that I have seen. Really, it makes sense doing this without colors. However, I wonder if you used the Kanji for drip and drop (which I do not know). It would probably ruin this though, so this is fine.
Just as I finished writing this, it started to rain. And it's summer here. A coincidence, huh?
