Made this wallpaper last year, Just made a few edits, and submitting it to AP.

Background Vector by belcroser666 (please submit transparent vectors, belcroser666, it makes them more useable...) Main character scan from /a/ on 4chan, extraction by me.

Many people would say it's a nice retro wall, but I will not. In my opinion you should step forward and adapt a few techniques to your skill inventory. This wall might be goodin 2005/2006, but definitely not novadays. Character render + ghosted background effect + character name = noob wall. Sorry if sounds bad, but AP is about honest opinions and not cugarcoating.

(ah classic style...some old memories) I used this kind of wall back then on my desktop :) I won't comment too much on your style, people have their own 'I like this wall' category, but then maybe you could add up more, especially bigger, resolution... (But, really, I'm pretty sure even for classic style you can still make this wall better in other area, like the texts maybe...)

All modern operating systems (Windows Vista/7, OSX, all New Linux Distros) use your video cards anti-aliasing when resizing wallpapers to fit your desktop, so having a wallpaper that fits your resolution exactly isn't really needed, as long as its got the right aspect ratio (in this wallpapers case, 16:10), and the change isn't that extreme (Resizing a 1280x720 wall to fit a 1920x1080 monitor).

Windows Vista/7 and OSX both treat the desktop environment as a 3D object.
