This wallpaper is made from a medium quality 4-paged calendar scan taken by a friend. I had to do a lot of local color correction, stitch it and because I wanted the characters to be as clean as possible I removed all logos and other objects in front of them resulting in the fact that nearly 50% of the characters now are vectors(hope you can't figure out which parts).
I intentionally kept the background simple, because I targetet an ultra clean wallpaper and I didn't want to drag the focus away from the characters. I'm not a big fan of those rays from the ocean surface effects either. So I think, it's this kind of gradient what you should get when taking an underwater shot far away from the coast in an anime.
The 'mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch pure' logo ist a roman letter adaption of the japanese logo and completely designed by me. I originaly made the logo along with a 'mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch' version for the german mmppp website of my friend (and because I like redesigning logos).
Im sorry for the big file size, but any higher compression setting resulted in jaggy outlines of the characters and I wanted to give you the full quality. I hope the animepaper system does not automatically lower the quality by chooseing a higher compression rate.

I love this wallpaper. This happens to be one of my favorite animes at the moment. So I love it. I like the bubbles in the BG too. There very nice. It looks very happy too. ^^ I'm going to add it as a fav. Nice work again.

I've neevr seen this anime before but the wall is very cute. It reminds me of like mew mew power or some girlie anime like that. Its very cute, I like the bright colors and such. Nice job./

This is a real cute wallpaper. The bubbles really add a nice touch. It's a real shame ADV dropped their liscence before they could release any DVDs ><....of MMPPP I mean. Keep up the good work!

Wowwww Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch is so lovely.I never saw the anime but i know how it goes.But i think this wallie of the princesses are the best i think in their true forms.Like the character design its cool.Even though you didn't originally made the wall its still was a good idea to use it and craft it.The colors are insynced good work.

Lovely wall. Teh background suits teh charac ters perfectly (they are mermaids after al!l) and I like how teh focus is on teh aforementioned characters for once.

A nice wallpaper! The motive of the girls is very cute. To my mind you can well see what good friends they are. They radiate happiness and joy =). And they make you feel welcome to join their group. I like the bubbles in the background. They are very suitable!

Wow, it's very difficult to figure out what was vectored and what wasn't! Trying to figure it out got me all dizzy too! ~(@_@)~ I really like the simple water themed background. It's very appropriate for the image you chose. I think I would like the wallpaper even better with the Pichi pichi pitch pure logo left out however. It crowds the otherwise simple vastness of the ocean background.
