This is just a silly little scene I put together for my own personal use and amusement (the idea of sharing it was more of an afterthought). If you aren’t into chibis and/or colorful walls, then this isn’t for you, simple as that.
Things to know:
- Based on an original concept I came up with. This is a made-up scenario using characters from the series’ opening. The characters were vectored from different screenshots.
- Background was made from scratch (tennis court, wall-fence, clouds, etc.). The whole thing was done and colored in a somewhat stylized manner (a love or hate kinda thing, perhaps).
- Colored outlines. Added some more shades to the characters. Slightly textured some parts of the background and characters.
- Thought-bubble = Asuna’s sexual delusion = aroused. She’s constantly having these types of delusions during the series, so I just added one to the wall for the heck of it (watch the series for more, if interested). Don’t like it? That’s fine… just don’t expect me to get rid of it though.
- Vectoring was done in AI. Final composition, add-ons, effects and other adjustments were done in PS.
- Available ratios: 16:10, 16:9. Max resolutions currently available: 1920x1200, 1920x1080.
Screenshots + a bit more (do people still post and care about this stuff? I wonder). This “chart” does not contain images for the final draft.
Characters (brief introduction, who is who):
You don’t have to read this if you don’t want to (just like everything else I’ve written so far). This is just me writing stuff to kill time (and to make things that should’ve been shorter a bit longer, of course...).
- Kotone (brown hair, pulling and yelling): Martial arts champion. High level of strength and stamina. Loud and straight forward. Tsundere. Has a crush on You.
- Asuna (pink hair, pulling and delusioning): Takes words and situations out of context and turns them into sexual innuendo delusions. Her family owns a farm. Enthusiastic. Genki girl.
- Kurusu (purple hair, rolling): Somewhat eccentric. Likes to wear odd looking masks and costumes.
- Elizabeth (blonde hair, taking pictures): Foreigner. Used to play hard tennis. Finds Kurusu interesting and amusing. Has a crush on You.
- You (slacking on the bench while drooling): Coach. Looks somewhat unenthusiastic about teaching. Pro-level skills. Cares about his students (in some way or another).
- Chitose (glasses girl): Kind of an airhead. Likes to eat a lot (everything, anything). She is usually late (and that’s why she isn’t in this wallpaper...).
End Notes:
Definitely not one of the best and most popular series out there (below average, I’d say), but hey..... I found the nonsensical attitude of some of the characters in the show to be somewhat amusing, so I decided to wall it, that’s all.
For all that is chibi, absurd, random, unpopular and colorful in this world........ enjoy!

You've made a great work with those screenshots~ The vectors are awesome, I like the extra shadings you've put on the chibis, and the background is good too. The scene is funny, and it's impressive that you've made it from scratch, but I think the green at the bottom is a bit too intense. I like the colors of the second draft the best, to be honest. But other than that it's a pretty nice wall~

Lol, this is so cute. This scene fits together so perfectly, it honestly looks like something I'd see in a magazine spread, so the fact that you've really created this is even more impressive. And Asuna's thought bubble is hilarious in context.

A nicely done wallpaper for a hilarious anime. Care has been given to make sure the details of the characters and background stand out, including miniscule shading and what not. Vectors are perfect, and I really think you captured the essense of the Softenni anime quite nicely. Good job! Fav'd

Ahh... this is what I’m talking about.
It’s been a while since I last saw something that was fun, fresh and well made. The core idea is definitely great and something you usually don’t see around here. I would have never thought that all this was made from different pics put together, if you hadn’t said so.

This is definitely well-made to the point you can’t really tell it was made from a different set of images (less screenshots), unless told otherwise. This is very creative and cheerful, which it’s something I dig a lot. It’s always great to see a wallpaper that don’t rely on popular characters/series or sexy pictures to sell itself.
Really, this is great stuff man.
