This was made with the barrage of text in the background to present this feeling that she's just reaching out for someone; trying to connect, and find peace. The background text just says "Did you know the entire world is connected through the same sky?"
Time taken: about an hour and a half to do the background/logo and stuff. The vector was done earlier.
Tools Used: Photoshop Elements for the background and stuff. Inkscape for the vector and logo.
Vector Used: 
Revision 2: The gradient was edited to reach the edges of the wallpaper.
Revision 3: Perspective was changed, thanks to the advice of Bantam.
Revision 4: Fiddled around with PhotoShop and changed the perspective and lighting.

You did a much better job now the mouth is fixed on the vector! Nice overlay on the text. For a first wall it's pretty good! I'd perhaps play with the contrast in perspective between the checkerboard pattern and her perspective to make it aligned, photoshop actually has perspective transforms you can apply! ^^

Glad to see you fixed the mouth. I'll be honest, I don't think the image you chose to vector is really eye-catching enough as a centerpiece for a wallpaper, but I can understand it if it was chosen because the character is a favorite. I really like the colors in the background, but the even visibility of all the text does make it look quite busy ^^;
