Why hello there, It has been a while since my last wall but I am back! So I have been on this DBZ kick since my girlfriend and I have been re-watching the series. When I was a kid I ALWAYS wanted a scouter, because it ones of the coolest looking pieces of equipment they have in Dragonball. So I took it upon myself to go ahead and model myself on in 3D for fun. After modeling I was stuck with a background to choose so I ended up with the healing chamber in Frieza's ship. I know that at this point in the series most don't need a scouter since the power levels just end up blowing these things up anyways. So while working on this I came up with a few other ideas from DBZ to make into a wall like the Dragon Radar and what not, so be prepared for a few more to pop up over the next few weeks on here, I promise. As always feel free to comment and critique! Happy viewing and like always if there is a personal request for no text, w/e just let me know!

Techically is done very weel and I need also praise for the unusal 3D style. Unfortunately I don't really think it will catch too many members here, people want stuff what looks like just in anime.

most of the walls I do are generally made for my own desktop and I just throw them up here so others can enjoy if they want. I always love when people enjoy my work but it isn't really a popularity contest for me. If I wanted to hop on the band wagon I would make wallpapers of Naruto, Bleach, and whatever moe anime is popular at the time :) Thanks for the comment though, Also DBZ really isn't popular anymore, its more a niche thing at this point for people who grew up with it, most newer anime goers stay away from it since it has had such a bad wrap for a long time, which is what I'm sticking with. :)

Agree. It’s all about what you enjoy and feel like working at the moment. Popularity? Top rating? Who cares about all that when you’re doing this for fun. It’s not like you get more papers or any other kind of reward whenever your work gets into the top 3.

The scouter modeling is quite simple, but it works (not sure about the background though, since it’s all blurred and what not) Some of the shading materials for some of the objects could use a bit more work, but nothing too serious (it’s not like your aiming for realism with this piece anyhow). As a whole, I think the overall lighting could’ve been more dramatic and have more focus on the scouter piece (like this).

Finally, just out of curiosity, it’d be nice if you could tell us which 3D program you used to build this. Also…. did you Photoshop the image after you were done rendering it (for color adjustments)?

Anyway, keep it up.
