This is my vector for the vecta desu contest-#14 Zoompower. This is Hikirikawa Masata from the anime Uta no Prince Sama/Maji Love 1000%.

Woot!! I get first comment =P
Okay, firstly Belle~... you are getting better with each vector, it's lovely to see =3 I like the gradients in his hair, nice shading there. And you did his eyes really nice, love the gradient work there, they look nice and alive =D
Okay, now for the constructive part of my comment; Firstly, I would have liked to have seen some gradient shading on his skin, instead of the lighter skin colouring, I think it would have given him more depth, more shape so to speak. I think your colour choice for his shirt was well picked, but a mid shade in there too would have added nicely to the vector even though it wasn't in the original scan. His tattoo needs some shading too so that it doesn't look flat, even if you didn't use gradients to do that you could vector either edge a slightly different shade of that main colour, lighter on the raised side and darker on the hollowed side, so that it gives it the look that it's a part of his skin. There are several spots where the shading colour doesn't meet with the lineart either, so you can see the lighter colour showing through. Also your lines are a little blocky. I was looking at your other vectors in particular your Souji vector and your lines are much neater and far more smooth in that one. Are you using a different program now I wonder? All in all, a nice vector, he's so smexy afterall xD

I so love it, this vector is really nice, I appreciate that you made a vector from an anime that is not so well know. What bothers me is the skin color is a little too bright, but I like it so much thanks a lot ^^
keep up the good work :D

Good job with the linework. The colors are just a little pale, i would like to see a bit more variation and gradients. :3

Sometimes we saw a picture, video, art, manga, comic, and we fell in love of the way they are, and that can complicated us our choice, i don't know how is the original of this pic, but I suggest to replicate the shades and shines over the skin, is one of the best point to giving a mature aspect over a vector. I see that in your vector style you pay so much attention to the outlines, edges and tracing, my recomendation is: try to not use black or hard tones over the color, of you have color a skin based on a yellow, orange or red tones, use a dark tone based on that color, soften, or use a blending. skin is just an example, this apply to many aspects of any vector art.
You are doing very strong traces that gave a characteristical look over the way you vector, this may be good or not, it depends of where and how are you using it. The thing is, some parts need to be more thin than others, delicated and why not? jump to something else, re draw parts beyond the original but respecting the original. I see this and i think the hair strings but longer will looks very beautiful on this bishie.
You are getting better with every work, take your time and have fun! with this ^^
pd: I need to see this serie now!
