Vectored for VectaDesu #14 Zoom Power. I went through my wish list and decided to revisit Masaki. She is one of the most delicious little girls out there. : )
I pretty much gave up on the hair because I raged. I couldn't imagine how to extend the top the way I wanted it to (if that makes any sense). Hair still looks flat to me but I would have needed more than 4hrs to do good hair with lots of volume/depth and better choice of colors. The lack of sleep devoured my thinking power.
Most of the jewelry was left out so I could make the deadline. I actually wanted to at least include the necklace but I only got the base shape and lines done. I would have needed more time to shade/highlight the necklace which I don't have. I'll add it in after the contest is over because composition-wise it's an essential piece which helps divide her skin.

I think that white part on top of her head could be more...transparent but other than that, this is really pretty. You made that dress look gorgeous because it looks more classy without those colorful buttons on it! :3

Yay reconstructions! A nice gentle scan you chose. :3 I think I prefer the lighter skin tone in version 1 because she looks almost sunburned pink in the second. D: But as always your gradients are win and it's great to see more work from you. X3 Will be nice to see her with the necklace when you get the time - she seems a bit bare without it.

Fantastic vector! It caught my eye immediately! I love the "pop" feeling you get from the white highlight on the hair that you added. But what I love the most is the skin! So sun kissed and pretty! +FAV

Nice!The vector does great justice to the scan. I like the vividness of the second revision. One little 'correction' I can point out is the color you used for her refracting skin on her upper arm. In some places the reflection is unnaturally bright. I think it is as a result of the depth of shadow you used on the shoulder closest to the highlight. Maybe if you brighten it up a little at those points, it would look more natural. Thank you.

Just found this after lurking the last contest (I was inactive enough to miss both the contest and the voting lulz).
I really love you style in this one, it has Tens written over it all the way. Highlight would be the color improvement probably, especially the hair, which looks so vibrant compared to teh original. Also this color improvement enhanced the contrast to the clothes a lot. Well I guess the contrast will even look more interesting when you added the missing details. I'm curious about the final version, so I hope you finish it somewhen.^^
The extension is okay btw, I couldn't have done better myself, and I know the feeling when you just redo the extension over and over again and think you can't do justice to teh original (I still haven't uploaded my Miku Meganekko because I keep redoing the hair extensions for the final version =_=).
