Thanks I tried for half and hour to do the blush in Illustrator but failed, three seconds in Photoshop was all it took XD.

This is only your second vector? Great work! I love the warm check glow in your vector the best. Only downside seems to be the flaw on the right hand side shoulder, I took a screenshot to demonstrate:
Other than that, awesome work, I'm really impressed with the quality of new vectors these days!

Yup, my fist vector was really bad but I feel I have improved a bit from then. Thanks for the careful observation and does anyone know how and why that happened? The .ai file doesn't have it...Anyways, revision 2 was replaced with the .png and revision 3 was removed.

It's a problem with cs5. It does that sometimes while exporting.

Perfect looking vector. You probably should wall your own vectors better than using scans ^_^
The blushing effect is awesome indeed I would be interested in knowing how you did it in Photoshop. It's always a pain in the ass for me to do really thin lines and it's KIND OF useful ^_^
Super good looking vector for a second attempt.

Actually all of the lines are actually shapes filled in, not actual lines. These were done in Illustrator. What I meant by doing the blushing on Photoshop is the actual light pink glow not the lines. I just used a low opacity default brush with a very soft edge to do this. I tried using the gradient feature in Illustrator but failed...bad lol. Thanks for the comment, I will try to come up with a wallpaper for my next entry XD.

What is the size you're using to work on a vector? Do you shrink down the size to the actual size after your work?
My problem with lines is that as I'm not working on such an huge size (most of the time not bigger than 3000 pxl high, I don't get really thin lines in Corel Photo Paint. I'll probably should get illustrator cause all the good looking vectors seems to be made with it...

Don't really have a clear way to start a vector since I'm fairly new to the whole thing. But I did is start with a HUGE blank canvas (about 6000x6000) and just drag the screenshot into Illustrator and then made it big enough to vector it without having to zoom in too much while keeping it from getting too pixalized. After all the coloring and stuff I just exported it and resized it with Photoshop after adding the text and blush effect. And yes, I highly suggest any version of Illustrator when it comes to vectoring, it has so many features that make coloring and line-art look awesome.
