Such a happy setting~ Of course, I kind of wanted this to be happy. :) In the show, and the manga specifically, it's recently been taking a very dark turn. The jokes have lessened and it's gotten very intense with all the new things happening and the sad death of a friend. :'(
So I decided that a little sunshine is just what theses characters needed in Pandora Hearts! And out came this...
So, I basically painted everything from this scan: Scan
Did minor changes to it, okay... major changes,(mostly in details and lighting) and messed around with effects. I brightened everything up about... a lot. xD And added little details like the glowing orbs and the lens flare. I tried to color a bit softer and brighter than the scan to get an almost surreal feel to this setting and decided to give it a more sunny glow by adding a yellow photo filter. I tried not to get rid of too much of the shading since I've added so many highlights so I did add a few dark spots. The roses to me look just a touch out of place because they weren't drawn individually. I did get lazy, but maybe if I do feel like there needs a change, I'll change them. But I had a ton of fun painting the whole thing!
This took about 2 days to complete using PaintTool Sai, and Photoshop.

This is really great! I like the changes you've made from the original! Classy lens flare, cool orbs. I love the painted effect of the characters, I've seen that kind of effect before from some other wallers, I guess it was Sai all along! I learnt something today! First thing I noticed was the hair color differences, they look so much nicer with lighter hair colors, it just looks more fun! Anyway, great work!

It look interesting,and the color has been brighten.Compare to another wallpaper that I have take,this have add two more people which is Break and Sharon.Anyway thanks for sharing this wallpaper.

Vivid and rich of bright colors wallie! I also like the light effects you've added! Your painting is superb, especially I loved the roses! The bg is lovely, too!

The new style you painted the scan in makes it feel lighter and more airbrushy.
This makes the mood feel even lighter compared to the darker shadowing of the original. It almost enters a dream-like state. The new color choices make it feel more colorful in comparison. The dark shadows are made lighter to show more color through the wall.
Only improvement I can see is that if you added more hard strokes to help define folds and hard shadows like in the original. But it's always good to rework a scan with your own interpretation on how everything should unfold.

Mmmm I saw a wall like this too but with much darker colors but why in the heck! Anyways i like how soft colors are + the lens flare effects really fits the whole wall. I like also how you painted the scan and it has more lighter feeling and nice job presented it! Overall great work! +fav!! ^^,
