So here is my entry for Typographic Background challenge at TheO. And damn... totally forgot about one character rule.. =_= So I made another version - without Rukia. (Maybe I will post it later at KS-Designs, if you want to check it - click here). Vectored Rukia and Ichigo from latest Bleach chapter. First I wanted to make Miku wallpaper, but after I read that chapter thought to do wallpaper using them.

As always bigger resolutions, standard and square at KS-Designs.

Nicely done! I love how you managed to make very nice vectors with clean and pretty lineart, while still maintaining manga look at parts like shadows on necks. Typography is cool too, fits to Bleach style from first volumes, and since this is Death & Strawberry 2, it's quite fitting.

My only complain would be that Rukia's pose looks a bit weird, but I guess there's no helping since your choice of scan was limited to half of chapter. Also gradients on straps that Ichigo wear could be more subtle I think, they stand out a bit too much imho :O

This is definitely one of those wallpapers that should be seen on full view. I find it interesting to look at the wallpaper and find little typography in unexpected places like Ichigo's hair and both his and Rukia's clothes. Overall it's a nice concept with the typography style. Good luck for the challenge over at TheO. :)

I commend you my fellow vectorer and waller, This wall is simply EPICNESS personified. When I read the latest chapter of Bleach, I saw his new outfit and was all starry eye face, O M Goshhhhhhh xD

Okay now that I've shared my bliss/joy/excitement/eyegasm xP I can get on with commenting properly. ...

Ichigo has been vectored to a treat, the straps look damn amazing, you really get a sense that they are moulded, not flat and plain. You also got his facial expression down to a tee, oh god I love that smoldering gaze of his, hehe. Very well done! His hair is perfect, I love the colouring and the shading, just amazingly good! So many people don't give Ichigo's hair the attention it deserves.

Rukia also looks fantastic, I especially love her eyes, they just glow with warmth, that was very well done also. Her gloves too look great, and the after transformation clouds are so well done, you certainly have done Kubo-san proud!

For a minimalist wall, you've pulled it off brilliantly with the use of the text, it all flows so damn well!

Quite simply, I love it and it's going on my desktop RIGHT NOW!!! =D

Typography wallpapers are my favorite kind. Usually you don't see a mixture of so many colors work so well, but you've pulled it off really nice here. I also like the fact that you didn't just focus on the main character, Ichigo, spamming random fonts and brushes around him, but you also added a secondary one in the background. The bizarre texture on top helps the whole simplicity feel of it, making it both simple and classy at the same time. Overall, a great example of how bright typography walls should be done.

It's so hard to find good bleach wallpapers they seem few and far between, this is really awesome. Font choices rule, you did a reallly good job with fonts. And the tear away effect! Really cool! I love the flatness! Great work!

I HAVE A NEW DESKTOP!!! :D!

Well i must say this look rather amazing on my desktop O: Been looking for a new desktop for a while but nothing really gave me that "WHAAAA I WANT IT" feel but this just did! :D

The colours in this are perfect they match everything amazingly and there not in your face to the point you want to look away but more like you want to keep looking!! I love the white "bleach" ((and Rukia's face))at the bottom on the wall, and the lights in Ichigo's kimono with the text through them are a brilliant touch! I like the info thing at the side of ichigo, its rather amusing IMO

Im a big BIG BIG B I G fan of details, even though this isn't that detailed i think that the basic-ness of it ((i dont mean that in a bad way!)) really makes it stand out and really give everything it's place!!

The typo work here is stunning! I also admire neat vector work from a manga chapter! The colors are chosen great, too! Even the white bg doesn't seem usual, it just like a canvas with a excellent art picece!

Very colorful but soft.

Props for converting manga scans into color and then combining 2 from different pages. It's a lot cleaner in comparison since it's smooth lines instead of being blobby where details just bleed together. I like it when wallers combine white and a light gray for a background because the back drop really supports colors by creating a middle ground. It allows the colors to bring out their gentleness instead of being contrasted against pure white or black. You've cleverly merged the characters together by using the dust/smoke. This creates a different scene you might have seen in the manga where Rukia is supporting Ichigo from behind. I find it funny that Ichigo looks like "srs business" and Rukia is behind him giving off "oh you guys are going to get it now."

Typography walls that freely flow with the text are always interesting. Certain design choices using the text can either make or break the wall. Walling with text reminds me of my gradients. Piling blocks upon blocks to create something bigger with limited options. I like how you filled up the free space with X's and debris. This helps spread out the colors and makes the wall less plain. Following the text around it creates blocks which make the wall feel blocky. You can keep connecting the text and characters to make blocks. Especially combining all the text and characters you get a big rectangle. Which is a rectangle in another gray rectangle because the blue "Bleach" strip on top outlines its contour.

I think it would be interesting to see a more fluid version where the text don't make 90 degree blocks. If the blocks of text were angled it could represent ruins or broken buildings.

It's a good piece of work!

Wow! You have really done a great job on this wallpaper. The typography is really interesting and very fitting.

I love how the white highlights on their robes are filled with typography. I also love the small facts about Ichigo you put on the right. It would be even better with some facts about Rukia but I guess that's quite hard when she's so anonymous lol.

My favorite font is the one you've used on their names. Oh, I almost forgot... Really nice coloring! And if I wouldn't be a fan of this manga, I would never have guessed this is actually two scans. Really cool merging here. +FAV

I am so glad to see a wallpaper with this kind of fussion, here you got manga draw style, you keep it! most of the people opt for clean those thin lines, So you mixed that with typography popping, which is not over the whole wp, i can easily use some spaces for my icons desktop, the color over the typo is not isolating the characters and as a size too. I love how you put the BLEACH word under the characters is creative the way you did it. The only thing, that is not necessary, i miss a tiny strawberry hiding on the wp xD Thanks for sharing this :3

A bleach wallie!!! -hug the wallpaper- lolz

Clean vector as usual. However, the colouring does emphasized Ichigo's hair. I really like the tone which liven up this wall. XD A creative way to add in the tiny wordings on Ichigo's hair and hakama as well. Great idea, besides using brushing and stock photos as testures.

Something simple for the bg and yet, the typography pulls everything together. In detail, I can see the faint typography used for the background design, the block alphabets, the repetition of the word 'BLEACH' which makes a good concept as fonts can be layered and used as textures to enhance a plain bg to add in effects.

Plus, the fusion of colours of the fonts are good. The different colours did not make this wall messy, it complimented well with the characters. In other words, it makes a simple wall looks interesting. I really like the placement of the wordings, you are inspiring me to give typography wall a try. XD

I've always been stumped on what to do with a plain white background, but looking at your wall tells me that there's so many creative things you can do. It's subtle, and on closer inspection you start to realize how detailed the background is with the carefully positioned brushes and typography.

I'm loving your wall very much! Not much of a Bleach fan anymore but it's going straight to my desktop. XD

Remarkable for coming from the (currently) latest chapter. I find the color choice on some of the details interesting and wonder if there was a basis for things like Rukia's gloves and Ichigo's little wraps?

Generally I'm not a fan of this kind of wall, but wow is your vector style unique. I've seen tons of great vectors, but none of them have quite the look of this one. It's like a super crisp manga slide...and the background is done well too. +fav +desktop

This is great, for you to capture this scene so quickly with a reference with no color is truly a mark of talent. You captured both of the characters well.

I personally really love this wallpaper. Currently using it for both desktops I have access to :) Although I'm not a Photoshop expert or a particular expert in any digital art area, I think I can give some feedback as a third-party viewer that just really enjoys looking at and analyzing art when she sees something appealing to her eyes. :)

The thing I'm most impressed about is definitely the background - as in the things you did to decorate what you vectored. The text, font, color all act in harmony to create a very distinct and consistent theme throughout the entire wallpaper, and also really bright and lively to the eyes. I also really liked how you made the vectors (I think I recognize these from the manga... ^//^~) sort of, blend in (the wind in the original scan becoming the wallpaper now, that's pretty creative :)) and work very well with the typographic background you were aiming for.

But the core reason why I think that this wallpaper is so successful, is because everything fits, and they fits well. Nothing looks out of place, and my eyes are somehow so comfortable at looking everywhere even with the striking colors, fonts - even lines! Design elements of Color, Line, Form, and Space used very effectively, and worked perfectly with the design principles of Harmony and Balance.

Great job. Definitely a fav - 10/10 ;)

There's so many epic things in this wallpaper, i don't even know where to start! For starters, the typography is spot on! They're so creatively placed around the characters ~ Also the colours which you chose worked really well with the rest of the wall

I always love a good Bleach wallpaper (they can be hard to find sometimes...) and you can't go wrong with the iconic duo! I like that even with all the words and different fonts, it's not busy and doesn't make your eye wander for a focal point. Keep up the good work!
