This is the first and hopefully last time I'm re-painting an anime screenshot. Especially one of such low quality.
Erza's hair still bothers me, but every time I tried to fix it, it ended up looking even worse. The shadows were either too bright or too dark. Red is such a bothersome color -.-' I have no idea how to work with it.
All in all, it took me a couple of months to finish because I was being lazy and didn't want to paint the hair. The original idea was a lot different with Jellal haunting Erza. Somehow it ended up much softer... It became more romantic than cruel and sadistic, I guess. Not that I mind because this couple has already suffered enough. This was also a little challenge for myself. I've always had problems with painting skin so I challenged myself to make a wallpaper with lots of naked flesh, lol. XD That's the reason why I took an anime screenshot instead of a proper scan.
Anyways, this one probably has tons of fails and mistakes so feedback is much appreciated :)

Great job ^_^, love it...I'm a fan of Erza and I'm glad to see more walls with her. Erza look gorgeous and I like how you painted her hair a really nice work.

I tried to make a 1600x1200 version but it turned out to be impossible. I either had to move Jellal's face a lot and he ended up looking odd or cut Erza's eye which was even stranger. Sorry, but WS is the only option :'(

Great wall, if you made mistakes they're hard to spot. It's nice and soft and has a great painted feel. Great typography too, the thin serifed font is really great!

Since you said you had problems with the hair and you're using ps, might I suggest using a dark desaturated violet for the shadows and a light orange for the highlights. The key to using reds is to shade with its analogous colors on the color wheel. Place the shadows on a blending mode like multiply and the highlights on something like color dodge (lessen the fill amount). I would say the hair needs some more shadows around the ear area on the lower part of the hair and highlights on the left side of the bangs. Feel free to ask if you have any more hair/color issues. :D

The typo as for me looks odd... maybe you could play with it, change the style of font.. The concept is quite nice, but I suggest to make the girl 'shine' in the darkness; and the other chara "fade" into darkness...
I also would add into her eyes more sparkles)) The thing which I'm satisfied - its' skin - you done it quite nicely!

I did try out different fonts. :) This one looked the best in my opinion... Hmmm, fading is quite a nice idea, actually. Thanks! Then my challenge is accomplished since skin was the whole point! Glad you liked it. :)

Very nice wall. I think the hair has a kind of brush-on-canvas look which I think is pretty cool. The only thing I think would make this wall look cooler would be if you could have found a pic/scan of Jellal just opening his eyes, I think the sharp blue of his irises against the red of Erza's hair would have been a nice addition to the background.

Thank you. Yeah, it probably would have been cooler. Unfortunately, by the time I started to work on this wall, I didn't have any FT episodes on my computer. So I had to work with the pics I had. Finding a good Jellal scan which would fit this wall proved to be surprisingly hard. But I agree, blue and red would've made a very nice contrast.

I'm a total JellalErza addict. Especially since it's one of those rare canon pairings. As for Gray, I used to like him with Lucy, but lately everything in the manga screams NatsuLucy and GrayJuvia so I'm sticking with them. But really, the only FT couple I care about is JellalErza.

My comment might not be of any use, because i'm still struggling with this stuff. But i just wanted to say.. This is down right AMAZING ! It inspired me even more to learn this stuff :)
