Barajou no Kiss Kiss of Rose

Hey not a bad wall! Nice re-creation of the original scan. I'm really digging that vector. I also love the red theme of the wall.

Not sure about the roses though. A bit more detail in them would have been nice because and i can see a lot of repetitiveness especially in the roses at the back. Same goes for the front too but there are a few more variations. Perhaps a few more details on the girls dress would also look better.

Other than that, this looks great. Love her hair and the the colors especially. This works well as a valentines wall or something like that. Faved!

The colors are good, and the detailed shading on the clothes is well-done. When I download it, the one thing I notice is that some of the parts of the girl (mainly her dress) seem of low quality. Maybe it's my monitor, but it appears fuzzy or too sharp or maybe too saturated in areas; for example, the ribbon on her back. The background design is nice with the dark colors - it helps with adding depth and making the two characters a focal point. The roses do not have much variety to them, and I think the brighter red / pink ones behind the two people are a little distracting being right next to the man's face and black hair.

It would probably have been more difficult to vector, but the flower from the outlines in the scan may have fit a little more. One flower in the BG with dark colors, and the other in front of them where the roses are. However, that's just a personal preference. You did quite well with this as is, and it does look rather nice. +fav

I really love the simple background. The black shape and gradient style are perfect since they don't crowd the very detailed vector.

The main vector of the couple is amazing, very well done, sharp, clean lines and great shading. The roses however look the same. I know that vectoring a whole garden of roses sounds like the most tedious thing, but the way they are, the roses look cloned. You can cheat a bit and vector less roses by adding a bigger one in front and blurring it. It creates a great effect of closeness, focuses on the couple and occupies more space.

Anyway, this wall is no exception. Comparing to the scan, you've done a very neat and quality job on the vectors. The color you've chosen are muck vivid than in the scan and match the scene very well!

However, I'd like to point out the things, that kinda disturb me:

• I like the idea with roses, but it seems they are cloned...I'd leave only red ones as a contrast to pink...

• the img seems 'pixelated ' in some areas and it spoils the impression.

All in all, the wallie is awesome, seeing the work you put into it, but some small mistakes just ruin it. +fav

Good vector quality. Looking at the lighting/shadows, I would say the more can be done, either by mimicry of the scan, or through your own vision of how the lighting should be. I can obviously see effort has been put in, but, well, more can be done. The scan's shadows are quite nice IMO, and it's not shown here. Colour choice is good.(I prefer it to the scan)

As others have noted, the roses are repetitive. I think that severely lowers the quality of the wall. It's something that's jarring, and really gives negative points when the main two characters should get positive points. More variety would be great.

Very back background to the topleft is simple with a red-blue gradient and patterns. It's nice in that it really serves as a background and attracts no attention(Focus=2 characters) but is nice when one looks at it. More minor stuff: great credits that do not attract unnecessary attention and fit well.

Overall, the problem with the wall is the lack of a 'wow' factor. It shows (much) room for improvement, while generally is a good thing, is not that great for art as it usually means mediocre quality, which should not be what is sought.
