I've been working on this vector for a long well now. I've finally got it completed.
First was the battle of 'which hair colour bests suits Nezumi?' Of which I asked my f-list on LJ.
Having a slight issue deciding.
1 is what I started with using the colours on the original scan
2 was me trying to make it slightly blue
3 was using a screen cap for colours
Decided #2 would be best, from liking it more so than anything else. Seeing as #3 was more close to the anime colour.
Next was Sion, if you've seen the scan of this you'd know there is a dog with Sion, of which I decided I didn't want. Scan
Thoughts on the process after just starting Sion.
Then I decided after completing the boys to try to recreate the background w/o the dogs & Inukashi. I think plain greys work for the background, or at least I hope they do. Then there is the water in the fountain. That didn't turn out like I had planned/hoped. Sorta ended up looking like the sky might, but decided to keep it like that.
Title comes from one of the translations of Ono no Komachi, KKS:797 (Love) and seems fitting for this piece since it is mentioned in the novels.

You did a great job with this wallpaper; NO. 6 has become on of my favorite shows! Nezumi and Sion make such a cute couple in my opinion! Again awesome work and I love your avatar/icon.

I'll split it into sections to make it easier to comment.
** Characters**
When using a colored outline, it is best to keep it consistent for all the lines. Currently for the hair and skin, you have used a darker colored hue but for the clothes, the color is solid black. This creates a disconnect in the feel of the outlines. If the cloth is blue, use dark blue and if it is white, use a darker shade of the shadowed area.
Outlines need more work to maintain a certain level of thickness. In some areas, the outlines go from thick to being too thin and back to thick again. While it is not possible to maintain precise consistency in line thickness, minimum variation is what you should be striving for.
** Background**
The fountain wall looks a bit slanted from a perspective context. Angling it to the left would help. Water needs to have that more anime-ish feel to match the vectors. Referencing anime screencaps for water surfaces would be a good start.
The mudcracks texture are top down whereas the camera angle is somewhat diagonal, making the perspective a bit awkward as well. However, the textures for the wall and floor has too much realism and contrasts quite sharply against the vectored images and the fountain lip and the lined edges. To have the background elements in full vector would make the whole theme come together better.

Besides what had already been said, I’d say that the vectors look somewhat alright. The background, in the other hand, does not. In my honest opinion, the whole background looks quite flat. None of the textures are really working in giving the scene a good sense of depth and perspective (take a look at the floor-texture, for example. The texture doesn’t really match the perspective of the fountain and characters, making it odd-looking).
I think with a bit more work this could’ve been better (background wise at least).

Vector and colors in the wallpaer are very clean. They make the characters' cynical and handsome faces be more attractive.

I really adore this wallpaper. First off, it is extremely adorable. I like how well you established the lines and colours - everything is very crisp, far more than I've seen in a lot of wallpapers lately.
The colouring technique is solid - all in all, this is a really great work!

Love No.6 been a real great anime, have seen any anime as good as this one and the graphics are so good xD
well the background seems to be a bit dodgy maybe a bit slanted and doesn't really fit into with the characters but really nice, the characters I love :D maybe a bit lighter on the characters would be nice
