Was not anything special for me to want to do this wallpaper. I found a vector of Youmu in good resolution and thought about doing it. Was not hard to do it, just took a while. For now I have no intention of editing it can be considered as final review. I think that is not good, but ... I have nothing special to mention just a comment about what you liked ^^

I think we should find the right balance between "drawing" and the selected scene
if there would be a plushie of me, being hugged by guy would cause it to self destruct and explode
But the Bantams online is a cute Rainbow Kitty. Bantams in person is a muscley Surfer Dude. Online is cute Plushie. Real Life is ....... not my Type.
also trivia, Bantam is actually acronym. It stands for Barbaric Animal Ninja with Tremendously Amazing Muscles

A job well done. I am not a Touhou fan but this is a wallpaper I wouldn't mind having on my desktop.
A good color scheme can make or break a wallpaper, and it is what often separates mediocre walls from masterpieces. I wouldn't call this a masterpiece (yet) but it is pretty damn good.
The first thing that comes to mind is a movie poster, specifically, a poster for Sucker Punch. I never watched the movie but I liked the promotional art and art direction.
If what you were trying to go for is a "cold blooded killer made even colder by ominous weather" look, then you have succeeded. Have you ever seen Sengoku Basara? Every time he appears, a f-ing storm cloud appears over him just to punctuate how badass he is. Furthermore, the trope juxtaposing a cute and innocent character with badassery (Fluffy the Terrible) never ceases to amuse me.
Another thing this reminds me of is the movie poster for 13 assassins (which, by the way, is a very badass movie).
