I was sort of shocked by lack of Stein's gate wallpapers.... So I decided I wanted to make one. I took the scene that gave me a strong impression.
I first took 3 screenshots and try to make them align with each other.

I began vectoring the base colors... I thought of doing outlines first, but I decided to try out without outlines for once. The usual pattern, paint inside the vectored base colors. As I was going along I had to change the colors various times. Occasionally messing with the color setting several times. Did the same thing for the background, painted it and messed with the colors. I changed Kurisu's hair somewhat... since it looked pretty stiff in the screenshot. I added minor details such as how Stein's gate eyes have two stripes and a square pupil, and how Kurisu has a star on her belt.I extended some areas and that's pretty much it.
First two revisions are without the small silhouette. The latter two revisions are with it. Both contain two minor color variations.
UPDATE 10/9/11
Removed all except one revision and replaced the rest with fixes to the bandings(I think I fixed it? If not, feel free to tell me). 1st revision has the bandings. 2nd - 5th revisions are updated with the lab coat smoothed out, in PNG instead of JPEG; it includes with the same variations of colors and with or without silhouette. All depends on your preference.

Fixed the top of Kurisu's right eye that looks like there is a eyelid above (from our POV, it would be her left eye in her POV). Made the details in her eye more prominent and less blurry.

Haha great wall, love the pose and I love Christina! The vectoring and composition seem quite good and it makes a good wallpaper. My main issue is just the banding on the inside of her labcoat...I hope it's not just me but I see distinct bands of color and it looks unappealing to me. Anyways good work, I'll have to check it out and see if that banding is just my monitor or something...

I believe that may have been my fault. I updated the wallpaper and tried to smooth out the inside of her lab coat. Hope it cleared out the bandings. Thanks for the critic =).

I'm really glad pngs are allowed now because the hair would've otherwise taken a beating in quality. This wall is a great example of the 'spirit' of walling/vectoring to me: taking multiple raw materials (I have the most respect for screenshot vectors, especially stitches), combining and editing them in ways that make it your own creation, and trying something new (your challenge to avoid lines, which looks great by the way). I have two issues though: I'm not sure but it looks like she's missing eyelids (I think I see one over her right eye, but it's pretty faint), and also when you look at the top of the hair, it looks like the eyes are very far down on her face; it seems like they should be high enough to be fairly obscured by her hair. I did notice the additional detail in the eyes though.
You could've used lines, you could've just used the basic shades and dull colors of the screenshots, but you didn't. You made a creative, detailed, colorful vector/wallpaper from what is a pretty terrible quality screenshot, so I definitely commend you for that :)

Thanks for notice about her eye (I hope I fixed the right one, I fixed the left(her POV)/right(our POV). The hair is actually supposed to be like that in the original screenshot before I pasted better eyes from the scene. I added the original into the description. Thank you for the critic! =)

The title is very very funny! xD But I don't like quite much these style of wallpaper, with vectoring and colours variations. I think the drawing lose the original style of the author. That's only my opinion. But if I see the work behind this wall, I admit that this is also a type of Art! So Good Job! ;D

The background is looking nice, though the sky gets a bit too bright under the clouds, having a more visible scenery could make it look better and you can't see that much light on her coat as you could see from the sky.The character looks good, she fits the background well, though her eyes could be in deeper blue. Nice wallpaper.

The mad-scientist pose is such an iconic turning point in the series, it goes by in a short second but it's so memorable. I'm not normally a fan of no-outline vectors, but it sort of works here, for the purposes of a wallpaper. You've done some good work here, and any of the short-comings I can spot are simply the fault of the original character designer for the series. I do wish there were slightly more contrast between the focal point (the character) and your admittedly beautiful background, but that may be more or less a personal preference.
