Just celebrating the end of the first semester. For a couple of days I went without sleep, or even food at some points. But THE SEMESTRAL BREAK HATH ARRIVED. So I enjoy being able to sleep and paint again!... for a while.
The BG is actually based on RO fanart I created on dA/KISUKI, but I always disliked the foreground on the original so I worked on it, using the characters Yina and I created for our webcomic take on the RO-based story of Kiel Hyre, which we call the Leben Project.
Anyone who's interested in the project can see more stuff about it soon on my dA account, and Yina's.
Also, to clarify some questions I've received: no, I do not use special brushes or techniques. If I had to call my 'technique' anything, it would be 'scribble till it looks vaguely like something'. As shown by the following shots at max zoom (LOL even I can barely tell what they are)
also, yes. For those who did their Physics thing, that is the Conservation of Mass. G'night, AP.

This wallpaper is stunning, love the color and composition is done well, especially the way you portrayed depth. Love your painting style as well! My favorite wall I've seen in a while. ++

I hope I'm not too rude, but this looks unfinished to me. I enjoy the sketchiness of your painting style, but it looks rushed and incomplete. The thin lines especially, they're bright colored and catch the attention first because they don't blend well. The lighting, concept and other details are great, unique and beautifully colored, I just think the coloring process needs some retouching.

Uuuu no wonder this looked familar! You extended it from one of your older walls. XD Good idea - cause the bg colors are glorious. *___* If I were to mention anything, I would say I think I'm having some issues determining how far away the bg is from the characters - there's a close building in cool colors on the left, but there's canyon bridges and (far away?) structures in red on the right. Maybe it's the color temperatures making it hard to perceive the depth of field, but it looks pwetty artistically in any case. :D Also, I wish you put more distant details or cloud details in the white area around/above the boy's head - I feel that place would be ideal for subtle details trailing off into the distance, like the clouds in your Aurora wall. :3

You know I always LOVE your works. It's very nice that you recreated your previous work (the BG) and incorporate it into something new. (OwO)
I'd say that your style of painting is under Impressionism. :D Because you said so yourself that when you zoom them to their maximum/original resolution, you can barely tell what they are. But when you view it from afar and as a whole, you create an impression or an image of what's really not there----if that makes sense. XD
Anyway, this goes straight to my desktop! <3 <3 <3

I've always loved your OA style. it reminds me a lot of benjamin's art. i really love how lose it is, and full of color.
this wall is just what we'd expect from you, more of the same awesomeness. it's framed really well. the bright sky behind the characters really makes them stand out as the focal point. the layers upon layers of colors add depth to the bg, drawing the eyes through it. just pure eye candy goodness. thanks!
i hope you get more school breaks to fill our eyes with goodness by.
fave!
