Well, I did this wallpaper using Photoshop CS4. This wall was completed in one week. I used the pen tool, eraser, brush, and type. I hope you enjoy.

For you first wallpaper, the quality ((vector wise)) is good. No colour leaks that i can see. Though as far as a vector goes, this is more or less the base colour. You really could use some darks and lights to the whole wall. You have some Gaussian blur going on there its a really good start! :) But i would definitely suggest that you work a light more on shadowing and lighting! But i love how you've placed the rose in her hand, very ness impute to it! Also, maybe if you set the blood layer or put the blood on a different layer and then set it to 'multiply' then it wouldn't look so flat! Same with the paper, the paper looks incredibly flat to everything else.

I like it but the colours just seem to fall flat. A bit more shading would do this wallpaper good...maybe a texture as well :)

What scan did you use for this paper? What techniques did you use in creating Yuki?

As stated before, it's very flat. If you're using a brush for your shading, try the dodge and burn tools. Dodge makes it lighter while burn makes it darker. (Think when you burn your toast, you make it darker.) In addition to being flat, the lines are very bland because they're all the same width.

If you're using vectoring, I recommend using this tutorial by our very own Nysha: Tutorial It's the best one I've found, bar none. It takes vectoring and combines it with painting for the best of both worlds.

I like this scan, I wanted to vectored it... too late, you did it! Nice colors, but it lacks shadows (on her hair, skin, dress, on the bed and floor) and depth. But this is a good concept, keep it up!
