Thanks to nat for this awesome scan!

Before vectoring it I worked on reflexion, water effects, light, contrast saturation and colors to make these different atmospheres.

Wow Cilou, out of all the walls you've done in the past month, this is the one that has me going WOW!!!! all over again! =D

As Nessbad said, I had this scan in my 'to vector' list aswell, but I'm really glad you decided to tackle it as you have more than done the art justice.

Firstly, I love the water reflection, it's simply beautiful in my opinion.The soft effect gives it a satin quality. I would have liked a little more 'shine' to the water but I really have no complaints whatsoever.

The Rose in her hair and the petals floating on the water have been vectored so well, you really have given them a sense of not just being a flat image on the screen. I love the contrast of the red against the white and black too, just sublime colour choices.

Her hair is beautifully done, lineless and the shading colour choices give it a soft silk like quality, very nice indeed.

Ok, now comes the few things I thought could do with a little improvement; - firstly the blur or softening of the wings, it doesn't extend all over the wings, where the joints meet her back they have razor sharp edges compared to the soft look of the rest, it's a bit jarring to have that stark contrast in texture. However in saying that, I do love the wings' soft look. - secondly, her eye patch seems to have a bit of a wobbly edge, not quite as smooth as it could be, it needs smoothing out a little. I also would have liked to have seen a little more shading to it, aswell as the collar, they are a little flat being mostly basic black. The same goes for the headband, I don't see any shading there at all.

I used the final version for my critique, as against the white she is far crisper than in the other versions, but my personal favourite would be the second to last, I simply love the lighting effects and the whole atmosphere you've created for this image, just beautiful.

A definite Fav from me, well done!

Wow this wall is really one of your best walls! I love both version 4 and 5, both of them gives different feeling from dark to light atmosphere. Your vector here is kinda different from your other walls (for me) and I do like it! The way you vector her hair is so nice and silky, I like the soft shades of it and how your outlines are so smooth and thin. The background is simple but you did an awesome job on the water reflection and love the rose petal and her hair rippled. The only thing that bothers me is her wings, I found it in some parts which are blurry and it does looks off, I hope you could make it a little sharper same how sharp your character is and lastly but I don't know if I am the only person who notice this is that her boobs, It looks deformed and has the sides of a polygon, I do hope you could make it smooth and same as the original scan. Overall one of your best walls nothing more nothing less! +fav! ^^,

of all the revisions. i personally like revision 5 the most

simply for the soft colours and the empty white background

puts the focus on the character being soft and gentle

This is beautiful, but what seemed to be my favourite version, doesn't look all that good. I went straight for the dark background revision, and I instantly noticed the background's lacking quality. There's a lot of banding going on in there, maybe you should look into it.

I guess I'm fine with the last revision though, pretty and calm.

Wow...this is one of your best works...you skills really shine in this wall..The feather look gorgeous as if they are alive and her reflection in the water is just superb....My favorites are revisions 3 & 5..i liked how you used white for your background..it really kept the focus on the character and made your work more apparent....

mmm, all versions look very nice all seem to share the same anomaly: the top of the wing is blurred, which seems intentional, but i dont understand why, especially with that harsh transition to razor sharp at her hair... why?!

In my opinion, revisions 3 and 4 are the best. I feel the dark background of revision 4 goes incredibly well with the character's "dark appeal." At the same time, I feel the red in revision 3 lets the roses "pop" more. I don't know, that's just how I feel.

Straight stunning ! Water effects are quite well done, and so is the Hair (best part for me).. Tackling the Red Black Blonde combo and shading like this is an absolute treat !

Love both version 4 and 5, Ver 4 adds light making it unique but dims detail a lil bit and the last one Outshines them all ! may be it's the contrast.. or i guess that's a matter of prefference. Highlight is sweet and lighting feels just about right.
