.... :D Wow. Yes, the background is a tad blurry, but this is so lovely. Gorgeous setting... beautiful forest scene! I think this is my favorite wall with this scan out of all the other ones I've seen so far.... The atmosphere is just wonderful! I think the lighting for the brighter part of the wall can be toned down a little bit, but... a very minor nit pick. Keep up the lovely job, this wall just feels like a page out of a fairy tale for me xD

Yeah I can tell how hard this one really is. Not one of the hardest walls I ve ever seen but probably one of the best re-cging jobs till now. The left part is really blurry but the combination is top notch. And about the lightning in the wall; you should desaturate the girl a little. She is standing out way too much. You can blend the head part a little more but that can be a result of that lightning I mentioned though...but all in all this one deserves a fav for the effort.

oh wow. The bg looks absolutely amazing. The trees u've added go really with the rest of the scan. The yellow, glowing tone u've applied to the girl makes her stands out much more. excellent job. :)

Lovely work on the background, beautiful color choices as well. It is a bit grainy in some spots, but having to resize a scan up really can hurt the quality of the image some, so that's understandable.

This is an amazing wallpaper. The layout is beautiful and the background is stunning. o.o So many details and it looks so real with the distant trees being faded. And the overall feel is nice and earthy with ambient feel to it. And the light look of her contrasts well with the darker feel of the rest of the drawing. And I love the concept of her taking the sword out from the tree. Overall simply beautiful. Bravo.

I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Tons of detail, nice use of colors, contrast, texture. The tree trunks look a little 2-D, perhaps more shadowing/lighting would help that. But that's a pretty minor complaint. All in all, spectacular scan extension!

Very nice wallpaper, I love how you've incoperated the scan with the background. It looks like that was quite the challenge. The background is beautiful as well, the trees are so life like and it really gives the impression of a gnarled old forest. The character is great as well, you've cleaned it up nicely. Not sure as to what she's doing to that tree and sword, but at least it looks nice! I do think the character stands out too much from the rest of the wall though, either she's too sharp or the rest is too blurry(especially on the left side of the wall). Great job though :)

I adore this wall...so serene and elegant.

This is just pure gold :) The extra trees and branches is of almost the same quality as of the original. I only noticed it after checking out the scan. I like how the wall doesnt look so yellow-ish with your nicely distributed hue of blue with the faraway tree and fog.

After set as a wall, the overall golden tone of the wall is nicely coupled with my table lamp xD It dark trees also help ease my eyes, considering the damned light bulb has too many lux to it. The only think i dont like is the girl's contrast and brightness. Especially around her waist, I can only barely see the drawn lines upon close inspetion :( I think the orignal contrast and brightness is ok, though. On the bright side, it set the focus immediately on the girl.

Great work. The composition fits 100%. I am still watching the scan and de wallpaper. You can make a 2 attemp by lowering de sturation, like the original with only gray/brown/yellow and very low saturation. Congratulations :D

This is nice, I just have a comment on the composition: I would have moved her a bit to the left, to fit in the exact center of the piece OR exactly 1/3rd from the right side of the image. Right now it's somewhere in between and for some reason that makes me feel like it's a bit off even if the image itself doesn't have any problems as such.

WOW!! I love what you did with the bg! It's so detailed! the way you made the lighting effect are great too, but shouldn't the tree on the left have some light hitting it? The light source seems to be comming from one o'clock or two thirty. If that's the case, the tree should be half of 1/4 way lighter then the rest. But maybe I'm thinking too much.

What's the word I'm looking for... ah! right! ART! This is just that: art. I doubt anything else would be fit to describe what you've accomplished with this one. I compared the "before/after" and I guess you'd have to be blind to not appreciate all the effort you put in this one, you can tell it was not only powered by the great artist you are, but for your friend, which produced a great result. Wonderful job on this, really remarkable! I do agree with Puppychow16 that the area to the right looks not as refined and the rest, but even though it would be nice if it where more refined, it does sort of fit in a way. The whole wallpaper looks as a computer enhanced painting, and some paintings do have that type of area in them where, for whatever reason, the artist did not paint in the detailing nearly as much as in other areas. Most likely because that area was not considered as important by them. I think it would enhance this work quite significantly if you did refine that area more, but it is really very good as is. The light effects and the foliage especially. +fave

Pretty good! Your re-cg-ed version is a lot better than the scanlated image. Swell effects, great background, nice selection of picture. The only thing I think it's lacking is the text... Maybe.. 'Cause it looks kinda bare to me.. the wallpaper itself, I mean... No offense there ^^"

my only critique would be the blurrness of the re-cged trees as i wished you sharpened them much like the scan to give them that extra pop, and as for the scan, her head pops out too much from the picture.

but my my, i'm literally downloading the 1600x1200 piece! Must have been really amazing.
