... Lack of The IdolM@ster wallpapers..

So I made a simple one of Chihaya Kisaragi (my favorite character). Took two screen shots to make the full image.http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5570/chihayashot.jpg

From that point, I just vectored everything and added gradients.At the end, I drew a wing on the wall to represent a blue bird's wing. It's a pretty simple wallpaper, but was time-consuming regardless. Added my initials to her headphones as if it's the brand, and I added her Japanese name. The side of the CD cover, I added Aoi Tori - Kisaragi Chihaya in Japanese.

Original file size was 10098 x 5680 pixels... 445 MB >.>....

Update 11-14-11 ... I realized my monitor was in a certain display mode... After I set it back to standard, the colors were far more vibrant and hue more towards purple than blue. I added new revisions fixing it.

Increased to 3840 x 2160 resolution.

I like that the fair has been changed to blue. The purple didn't look so good. The color of the wall seems really deep and well done. Only thing I would change is the wings. It fades away a bit too much, especially when you can see how much of the wing was cut off from revision 2 to revision 5.

All in all, job well done. I like it.

Thanks for the critic! I changed how dark the fade was to make the wings more visible ^^.

Nice style selection with your revisions! Lovely work on the line art too, especially as it's a screenshot which isn't always the best source. Love the wings and the character isolation too, makes it much more dramatic :3

Really dig this wall. The colors are very pretty, very crisp, the character is attractive and interesting and you get a good sense of what's going on with her, she's in her own little world inside those headphones.
