Final Fantasy VII The Promise Land

I'm just going to use bullet points here, hope it's OK:

• There's no main idea, everything is just randomly placed. There's no story behind this. Why does Sephiroth have that red shadow? Why is he floating?

• The composition is...non-existent. If you want to have Sephiroth floating in the clouds or something it's better that you ditch the brushes and find some good stock images or tutorials on how to paint clouds. There are tons around so it'll be easy.

• Terrible brushes. It looks like you enlarged the brushes past their original size, thus blurring them. Furthermore, cloud brushes look bad when only applied once since they're normally very transparent; you need to apply them at least 3 times for them to be visible. The way they are now, they come across as steam rather than clouds. Secondly, Sephiroth is too clear and "glossy" when compared to everything else in this wall.

• The Moon is very skewed. Why? You could fit it properly if you wanted to.

• Godawful fonts. There's no point to including the "Let us go to the promiseD land!" line twice. Look for other fonts, preferably less frilly ones. Ditch the "Sephiroth" on the bottom completely. Place your sig lower, preferably so it'll be covered by the taskbar (like this, it's too glaring).

• Don't leave the scan unmodified. The Moon is behind Sephiroth yet the lighting on him suggests the light is coming from in front of him. In this case, I understand you were going for a more abstract look, but that doesn't mean you should ignore lighting.

I'm not trying to come across as "aggressive", but you really should spend more time on wallpapers before submitting them. Take a look at other scenic walls and observe the composition and what techniques the wallers use. Work on depth; adding clouds of different sizes does wonders. I'm not asking you to suddenly become amazing, but take the time to research more and you'll end up making beautiful walls.
