I've never had such mixed feelings about my own wallpaper before. -.-' I am quite proud of vector itself, even though there are tons of mistakes and messy parts, especially on the hair. But I still love it for some weird reason. On the other hand, I hate its background (or lack thereof) and I can't help the feeling that this wallpaper is lacking something. Maybe a splash of color. Maybe something else entirely. It's just too dull in my opinion. But after trying to come up with that something for a couple of months while vectoring desperately, I'm finally giving up and uploading it like this.
And yeah, it took me forever to finish. I started it back in August, I think, along with my Fairy Tail wallpaper. I was way too fed up with painting so I decided to switch to vectoring. After a couple of days I gave up, of course, and came back to FT wall. Since then I've been working on this from time to time and that's why some part are different from others, lol. Especially the hair. Some strands are neat and precise, with lots of detailing, but some are a total mess. I swear it's not because of my laziness.

Around 750 layers (yes, my Photoshop was crying bloody tears and cursing me with all its might).
Scan from Minitokyo.No textures or brushes.
Pen tool only. In fact, lots and lots of pen tool only.

Even sometimes some parts in your vector are not that neat (but it's still visible - you tried VERY hard),it deserves encouragement)) I also like the feeling of movement with that cape(?)or scarf - it makes the scene more lively. My only wish, if it's possible to make some contrast, 'cuz wallie looks very 'white'.
But nevertheless, the job you've made deserves fav and admiring))

Now that I think of it, it really is rather unusual. I guess I just like to try new things out.
It's her sleeve. :) It was actually a lot mot whiter but a few people pointed it out on MT so I made it slightly darker. If I make it even more darker, the shapes will look horrible.

Thanks! I was planning on making her eyes bright blue, but abandoned the idea. I think red will bee too harsh since it's more suited for black and white walls (as in very very black and very very white). :)

I think this wallpaper is actually great the way it is. It's rare to see such a beautiful, soft wall. Most monochrome walls have such high contrast that this stands out much more to me. If you REALLY want to add a bit of color though, I think her eye would look beautiful a nice blue color, to pick up the blue tones that are in the rest of the image. It really is a beautiful job. +fav

The styling really is lovely, but I agree on this needing a bit more contrast or a splash of color. It's a bit odd to me how a tiny bit of the ribbon (near bottom right) is light blue, but the rest of the ribbon is only black & white monochrome. Continuing the light blue throughout the ribbon/trim could've given the splash of color that this wall needs; a bit more emphasis on the contrast/lighting/details for the eyes could've helped add additional focus to the wall as well. Nonetheless, really nice job on creating an attractive desktop - look forward to seeing more from you! ^^

That's probably because it's not a ribbon but a dress and its straps. :) In the original, the straps are purple and the dress itself is blue, if I remember correctly. I was originally planning to make some parts blue, like some hair strands, eyes and the dress but somehow abandoned the idea along the way. I guess it was a bad idea to do so. I am planning on coloring the eyes and adding darker shades since so many people suggested it.

Fav. Love the detail of the hair, and cloth in the background. it would be good idea give some color to the eye create a focus point (maybe green XD). might want touch up on the pinky of the hand it look a little odd. Over all better then what i can do. : >

This is very artistic and pretty. I love that there is no lineart. It is also a very big improvement from the previous wallpaper you made. I love this wallpaper, especially the lack of color. Very nice wallpaper. And I too think a red eye might be nice, but you can also leave it as it is because either way is pretty. +FAV

I hate doing lineart and I'm pretty bad at it so maybe that's the reason I try to avoid it. XDD As for the eyes, I think red would be too harsh. It's more suited for black and white walls, this one is more grey and white. I'm really glad you like it! Hearing that I improved totally made my day. :) Thanks!

I like it very much! It's very soft and eery but I do agree with you that it would be better with a splash of color...I think if you painted the eye with all the colors it needs it would be perfect! but it's awesome even so!

This kinda reminded me of Luches' wallpaper for it's monochrome just minus 1-color, coz luches' walls tend to have 1 color aside from grey. Everything is too bright for me, but the hair details of multishading is very nice! I think just add a little more darker shades would be better.
