Some little short lines about me: I really miss you AP people, I am very busy these days, so, I would say Hi to all of my friend here :) I started this wallpaper 9 months earlier, and I am really wondering if the new MGS worth all the time I spent on this wall...
I really feel the total deception after I saw the latest MGS Rising Trailer (the "Best Game Ever" image of MGS that I had in my mind has totally disappeared after seeing this: Trailer)
What's wrong with you Japanese Developers? What's happening to MGS, DMC and Resident Evil? You are just ruining the best 3 Games I ever played; Dante is having the Gay fever, Raiden is imitating Dante (It's a Bayonetta with a Raiden Skin, like said Bantam), and it seems that Sam Fisher is the new Umbrella Army Trainer XD, but why? Is it due to lack of imagination? If yes, you could just keep the same old style, and we'll appreciate it!
OK, back to the wallpaper, here is the used scan and the Walling Process Animation:
I used a Crysis II game Artwork for the background, edited and extended it. (Crysis II was a great game!) The wallpaper was made under Photoshop CS3, original resolution is 4320x2340 pixels, PSD file is about 180 Mb (after reducing resolution to 2560x1440). That's all, I hope you'll like the wallpaper, enjoy! (not the game).

I thought it was very crysis 2, it fits really well surprisingly! Great color scheme. That overlay is cool on the bottom half! Nice tech typography. I like the glow around the spine and the glow on his sword holder too!

Beautiful wall, the composition is great. Though I like the text, since this is such a scenic wall, I think a textless version is in order too. =3

Technically it's not Metal Gear Solid, but just Metal Gear, but whatever. I share your concern in Japanese game design and unfortunately I don't really see a solution to the problems they're having. I definitely don't believe that outsourcing legendary series like DMC to western studios is a good thing. Metal Gear Rising is a bit different though, because it's done by Platinum Games, in my opinion the only studio that DOES bring Japanese game design to the next level. But yea, it's not Metal Gear Solid.
In a way your wall captures this situation of Japanese game design quite well, letting a Japanese icon (Raiden) step into the world of a western game (Crysis 2). It's almost ironic, because it's a beautiful result that shows these 2 things CAN go together. I really love what you did with the lighting and the colour scheme. Great composition too, but of course the original artwork provided a perfect backdrop.

Hello Ala.. agree with you, everybody should look at that point of view xD i guess they want another type of target for the game which is not necessary. Turqouise, green, blue, tones D: a great combination, one of my favs, the Bg fits really good, great work there, well everything is good :p and as a FX wallie is not full of effects, that's what i like the most here. I miss ap people as well. Btw nice signature.

Boy, this is the best wallpaper i've erver seen and im very glad i found this one in a mess of only anime walls and since i have a new monitor, this will come in very handy. Thank you and keep up the good work

First of all, great selection of scans. The two goes so well together especially with the technique you used to do the blending. The lighting looks perfect and really gives the wallpaper a big impact. I also love the text version. The way you designed it is really nice! The whole wallpaper looks like it could be an original poster for the game. ;D

At least a new wallpaper from you ^^ And what a wallpaper! It's blending together really well and could be almost an official poster. I'm not fond of the checked pattern at the bottom but it's just me I guess ^^ Good work and keep them coming our way steadily :3

Wow...this is just amazing, how you combined two different games images, made them look as if they belong together and came up with this stunning wall that could pass as an actual MGS official poster ^^
I love the lightning, colour scheme, composition and the overall feel that you created in here. Plus the typo work perfectly will with MGS spirit.
I agree, it is just sad how many great games are being ruined...i saw the new MGS trailer and it made me go mad, honestly i don't think i'll ever play it when it comes out.

Somehow I just missed this one!I'm not into games, but this wallpaper is outstanding! You've perfectly re-created the kind (for me at least)not horror, yet awestruck, powerful atmosphere here.
