Hi Guys!
Weening off my vector addiction today, decided to work from scratch today and have some fun! I still love halftones! I decided to go old school and wall Aisha from Gundam Seed! I really liked the scan and thought I could make a colorful background. I really like playing with overlays and screening. Hope you'll enjoy my wall, I love feedback! Let me know what you think.

Definitely an improvement on your last one! Nice to see some gundam in here too. Like the way the halftone fades into the light background. Love the color pattern too, the overlaid colors look really good on her!

This is from Gundam Seed but you listed it under Mobile Suit Gundam.
The colors are a tad too light or something. Can barely see the image and I wish you varied the size of the halftones a bit more.

To be honest: this is one of the most perfect wallpapers in terms of not-so-distracting backgrounds. While other masterpieces are like pictures that you don't want to cover with anything, this one seems so light, precise and yet abstract at the same time, that I wouldn't mind covering it with icons, but still taking a peek at it sometimes. I really like the feeling of some "printed" media to it due to the dots and the color is so amazing it reminds me of the final fantasy logos. The colors are certainly the strength of this wallpaper, because whenever they overlay, one can see nice effects, because some colors only partially overlay over each other. I'd agree with people saying this wallpaper looks empty, but as mentioned above: it makes it just a perfect desktop-background. It certainly is a rather old-school-approach that - imo - got kinda lost when people jumped from scans to vectors (or maybe they all use this effect, but it rather is a side-effect, than a central element as it is in here).
Definitely thanks for sharing :). dS.

I like it and I don't like it. First of all I want to ask you to keep trying what you have been attempting with the pastel: color, gradients and halftones. Judging from this wall and a couple of your previous submissions, I think that you are toying with a nice artistic concept. However, on the downside as Bantam and Red-Eclipse have hinted, there is room for improvement.
I think that the chara fades a tiny bit too much into the BG. When loaded as the desktop image this wall just does not stand out. The lighting and the pastel colors conspire to make it difficult to see, and the texture combines to make some of the icons of my desktop blend into the wallpaper. However, a point of personal appreciation is the texture. I want to specifically review the texture in detail, because I did mention it in a negative context. What I want you to take from my comment is the idea that: with smaller sized desktop icons the "comic-strip-print" style of texture you are using here can be a problem, especially when used with pastel colors, because most desktop icons are displayed in lighter colors, like cyan, soft gray, dull whites, or magenta (CYMK).
Overall this is a nice wall. Thanks for sharing and I'll look forward to your next effort.

I definitely like the rainbow colors use in this. I think that maybe the back hair can be a bit darker to put more focus on Aisha.
