Hello all ^^

Finally a new wall after almost a year. This is the result after a year break. Whether it's better or worse, I'll leave that to you XD

Scan : Inori

Progress : As you can see from the scan, it's blurry and sketched so I had to redo the lineart by hand. It's not vectored, so you will see some edges, bumps, etc on it. I did the painting with tablet and picked the color palette of my own choice. Changes were made to her dress too. As for the BG, I hate to say this, but I'm not good at BG so I used a very simple idea here.

Time : 3 days

Credits : Redjuice's artwork

Note : This is a gift to ^nat for granting me a community waller title. I know I'm terribly late in saying this, but still, I'm very happy and it's all thanks to her :)

Revision #2 : Changed her eyelids and mouth line's color.Revision #3 : Added ripples and orange tints on blossoms.

Good Comment

Light, soft, and playful.

The color scheme stands out among other walls. The pink petals against the mute green water. Tree trunks in the background add some richness to the wall with its brown color. Inori looks lovely with her more expressed smile. Entire wall feels like I am watching someone having fun in middle of Spring.

Her dress seems a bit 'hard' since it doesn't fan out once it hits the water. But it's understandable since that's how it was in the original vector. I think the background could be improved more by having some trees not directly on the horizon. Adding some trees closer would help the wall be more interesting and have more depth.

I've always preferred light color wallpapers to darker ones. And if possible, I always find something that has natural elements in it (flowers, trees, etc). I tried to add more trees before but it turned out too crowded so I deleted them ._."

this wall has a really soft and light feeling to the eyes^^ really beautiful, but there's something bugging me... i think its the water level... maybe too high? also the water surface meeting the trees seems a bit off, like they're not in the water..... somehow...

I was very tempted to lower the water level actually. But since I need to focus on something else soon, I couldn't dwell in this work for longer time. I thought if I didn't post this soon, it'd have taken me another year to post ;o;'

It's very charming, I love that color pink (my favorite color), everything is spectacular. The only thing is that she's put into water or lake? ... Well if so, then he needs some kind of effect the water or move to look real. But overall the wall is spectacular. I love it! n_n+

I know the wall lacked water ripples. I'm really not good at BG, I did what I could with limited time. I have to turn my attention to something else soon so I sped up the pace and it reached here in 3 days span XD

Good Comment

Oi, this is a pretty wall. I appreciate how this was done by hand.

However, the water seems a bit rigid. A little texture and/or movement would have been nice. The waves look a bit weird; try studying how water reacts to surfaces.

The horizon looks a bit static, too. All the trees being positioned on the horizon look awkward, try positioning some of them closer for some depth.

I will still fave, because I love the colors and the overall atmosphere.

i totally love this wallpaper, though i think it should be a darker theme, but you can only wish that inori was as cheery as the wallpaper shows, but anyways, I STILL LOVE INORI!!!!

The anime itself is pretty dark in my opinion. That was one of the reason I did this to let people who ever imagined how Guilty Crown would be if things weren't so chaotic to see a brighter side. Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you love it ^^

The colours are beautiful I love them. They are so soft and feminine VERY appropriate. =) I was looking at it and thinking it might be cool if you added a few strands of hairs that are fly aways. It might look kind of pretty. Also try moving some of the tree from the background to the middle ground so it doesn't make the paper look flat and add a few water ripples around them perhaps? Overall this paper is so pretty and all of the revisions improved it greatly!

Thank you :) Forgetting to add white strands is definitely my lost in this case. This is also a proof that I have a lot of things to learn. I'm done with this and I could only hope to improve in the future. The revisions are here thanks to people who gave critics and suggestions earlier :)

I am always the first person to say that I dislike pink. However, I am very much in love with the wallpaper for a few reasons.

First, you used gentle, light, soft tones for pink which I absolutely adore when used the right way. I like that her hair is just dark enough to contrast with the blossoms in the background while at the same time complementing them. The various shades that make up the cherry blossoms, as well the subtle touch of pink that falls upon almost everything else in the picture, really help to set the tone. The shading is also very lovely, especially on the dress.

Second, I had no idea you actually redrew the girl from scratch until I read your notes. She seriously looks like she could have been taken directly from a scan or vectored herself. The drawing is very well done and is no small feat.

Third, I love scenes that are simple, calming, symbolic or any mixture of the three. I think you managed to touch on all three and I applaud you for your skill and effort. The only things I would say seem a bit off are the large tree trunks in the back and perhaps a little more blue in the water. However I don't consider those too be too big and can be looked over.
