I, normally, don’t care much for people who take a scan and just vectorize it into a wallpaper, as to me it shows a complete lack of imagination in the wallin’ process. No w having said that, I can see with this scan how you could not resist but to clean it up and make it every bit as magnificent as the original. I love it, you did a tremendous job with it and it is gorgeous! Kudos from me! +fav from me.

Great job cropping and melting the two pages together.

I've been wanting this to be repainted or vectored a long time ago (when I first saw this on pixiv... I have him bookmarked) but a re-cg is fine too. The two pages are stitched together very well and the style remains the same. While I miss the chandelier, it's removal made the top portion of the wall feel more open to the air with it's new cropped area. A great show of craftsmanship by making most out of a scan re-cg. The new widened composition, heavenly soft antique yellow lighting, and a bleeding red effect added to the dress that reminds me of picking up rose petals and smudging its guts across a piece of paper. It appears some sort of blueness was added to the shadow. It is a nice effect that kills off a complete black and promotes color mingling/blending instead of headbutting.

While I am a fan of the concept of adding red petals to spread the red elov. I did not think it was done very well. The motion blur seems a bit too much. If I had to use it I would make the motion blur range shorter. The red petals feel like stickers put on a poster instead of blending into the wall since they're all so uniform. Maybe use some red flower petal references to make them look folded/curved petals instead of a flat shape and reduce their numbers. Making petals can get a bit complicated especially with lighting and a realistic lighted environment. Either way I could do without the addition of petals because the wall is already beautiful without them.

I'm genuinely impressed on what you did with the scan. I'd write "SUGOI~!! XDXD xoxoxo" to express my reaction but the others will do that for me lol.

P.S. Did you use his pixiv submission as a guide or was the torn area was no problem-o for you? I know you changed/made some parts different but it still looks good.

So I just spent the last 5 minutes clicking back and forth between the original scan and your wallpaper. It's like one of those "spot the difference" games you'd get in morning papers. So this is basically just a scan clean, right? :P

The colors are amazingly powerful, especially that red. I say that in a good way too. It reminds me of something beautiful caught in the moment even though you could argue that's the point of a picture, but still.

I really like version 1. The color balance is better than version 3 to my eyes. I also love version 2 with its black and white highlights the woman with her dress.

I can't see where you knitted the two pages together which is well done.

It's rare to see a nice clean up scan for a wallpaper. Most people mess up that one (even I, that's why I always vector my walls), but you did great in combining to scans together.

Vectoring is a very good thing, but not a requirements, or a demand. This piece shows that pretty good walls can be made even without that. As most people before me I also prefer the third version, the slightly yellowish tone give much more impact as the low contrast ones.

So then Revision 3 got the complete color overhaul that previous ones needed but I don't know its maybe just me, because the scan itself its a perfect piece of art that make the most dream about getting to paint something like that. Still since now the whole image was recolored ant its not focusing only on two characters maybe a bit of more darkening of the black areas could improve a bit of the background, still looks a bit washed out I mean compared to the colorful tones of the main characters, but then again it may be just my eyes.

Nonetheless I could use Revision 3 as a wallpaper on my computer and my gaming consoles/phone etc with no regrets. this goes to Favorites, Peace.

This piece is lovely. The blended colors enhance vibrant red color of the dress. I also like how there's a pretty mist swirling around the dancer's gowns.

Pretty climatic wall! I have to say the starting point is already superb, that drawing in itself is amazing. All the masquerading and dancing. The colours and the remake of the centerfold page is done perfectly to a point were you don´t see the difference. I do prefer the final revision, since the black and white was too cold and the first one lacked a certain shocking thing that the ending result certainly has. Also the burning effect to produce the light effect like fairy tales is very well used. So two thumbs up!

A very intricate and detailed wall, good job.

Its going into my favs, Its got a Venice air, so romantic, I really enjoy the flow of the characters on it and how I can imagine the moment as if in a movie, full of music, motion and the amazing clothes. I really like the last revision, I think the colours chosen bring out the best of the wallpaper to life instead of segmenting it like in the second revision. The use of light also adds to the atmosphere and feeling. Really amazing work, keep it up!

Its completely awesome I LIKE IT A LOT. but I´m agree whit jenavid the 1st revision is the best, the 3rd I don't like it.

Seamless blending of the two pages. Rev 3 definitely my favourite. The golden lighting really enhances and adds depth to the wall. Although, the lighting effect does not always seems to make sense. To me, the light source appears to be above right and slightly behind the girl. With this in mind, the lighting on the right side of her hair seems a little overdone and her sleeve seems underdone (I would have expected some of the golden light to catch onto the back of her sleeve, and the front of it to be a bit more shadowed). Overall, I am just being really nit-picky about a really fantastic wall, so don't let it get you down. Keep up the good work!

This is really Beautiful! All the light you added creates a lovely glow & brings out the background nicely, without being distracting. It definitely gives the picture a different feel than the original: perhaps a little less mysterious & less the feeling that something dangerous might be brewing. I love what you’ve done with this scan. The chandelier in the scan left the image feeling cluttered in my opinion, taking it out opened the scene more and really draws your eye to the two people dancing. I love the coloring in the third version, you’ve provided the right amount of coloring to give the picture depth without overpowering the red - the wall has a warm glow about it. This is truly beautiful wall, well done!
