When I saw Aki’s headphone girl vector during the VD, I was thinking, it is difficult to make a good bg with this character which has such complex colour and all. However, Aki suggested that I should wall the headphone girl. Lolz
Apart from hoarding tons of unfinished walls as a habit of mine, I managed to make an epic record by using almost 5 months to finish this collab. I did a version pretty fast, but it was not good enough. The best thing about doing a collab is that there is someone to push me further to produce something good. Ah well, I managed to end up doing something with funky colours and road signs. Amazing.
For this wall, I did what I know best which is to use brushes and textures to enhance the vector shapes I used. The textures are from Mayang Texture and some which I downloaded from DA and other sides (own it for way too long, I can’t recall it).
The buildings’ vector shapes are from All-Silhouettes.com (by Gloomus). I played with the shapes and this is what I got for the bg.

I'm glad to see a collab of you two =) looks very colorful (yeah i love colorful things =p) and i like how colorful the girl is, colored with a 90's style (my fav style tbh =p).
The girl and the colorful background ree-chan did, looks super awesome =3 i like the style of the city and all the symbols, that mix of simple shapes with different colors, makes a good combo. The ONLY thing i don't like , its the text, looks "extra" (and is hard to read) , like you don't need that. IMO prolly the wall will look better w/o that.

Amazing work, you guys have worked great with the original scan colors! I love the super poppy background and the overlaid colors. The signs are great and really sharp! Glad you sat her on something also! Great work!

Wow... two wonderful wallers have done it together. glomps both
It is marvelously 3D-ish background, and digging in how good the signs place themselves in front and/or behind others. Great color blending too. Though, as isshi stated, the words "the beat!" and "let it" have designs that make it obscure. Wanting to see a "cleaner" version of that.
Now, I see a building which has "Ree Ree" on it winks at reesha and the length of the places to go to. Seriously, 600, 1900, and 2011 kilometers from the sign? Those are the things which made me chuckle heartily.
Anyways, a great wall to give for my brother who digs this kind of wallie, and I give my thumbs up to you two. Keep it up!

THis pretty cool, you don;t see many purely fun wall like this these days. The character is not being extorted by a Haruhi like character, its just fun and clean. Extremely clean vectoring , Top Notch all the way. Thanks for making such a sweet wall. I think I'll use it on my desktop. +Fav

Great Wall Excellent color palette, and textures are top notch A difficult subject to work with, but you pulled it together! Love seeing AP in the sign, a great little touch that may go unnoticed by some. Glad to see she's grounded in the wall, and not just randomly floating as well.

Great job on the BG, especially on the colour scheme, it looks pretty dynamic and tbh, it was what made me comment on this lol. Vector is amazing too, as usual.
Though yes, I really think a textureless version will do the trick here, because you guys should never wash out the colours on abstract wallpapers! You really count on them to grab the viewers attention. A paper texture tones down a bit the saturation of colors. I'm a bit concerned on the font choice here, and actually on the text itself. I mean, road signs already work as typography, especially because they are integrated in the design of the BG. So the text is a bit redundant.
Aside that, quality is here and it shows (especially against other submissions ^^')

Wow~ another great wall from you, I more like the second version, it give me greater feel then the 1st work (maybe it's because those typo are making your wall look too busy). I also really love your design idea (just great as usual~) especially the 'km' , it's look funny but easy to remember ^^
