I'm done with this after long hours. The scan I used was uploaded by saikusa. I hope someone can make an awesome wallpaper with this :-) In my opinion, the best parts are the lace, the music instrument & the leaves. Thanks to everyone in Shoutbox for their help :-) This is the image used ![]()

First of all...good work overall. It looks really nice. There's a very high level of detail and that's a good thing.
Now, some improvements could be made. For something zoomed in, without much detail, a resolution like this might be OK.... but this is a large scale vector with lots of small details that should be pointed out. IMO, it really needs a larger resolution to properly check those things out. Double the existing resolution would be nice, for me. Some of the colors don't like too natural. I took a look at the original image and I can see how it looks so its not too bad, but I think it could be improved upon to make it look a bit more natural, especially the flesh tones. Second, a lot of lines on the shadows and shading are too harsh for me. I think these would look better blurred slightly, or with some kind of gradient on them. It looks kind of strange because in real life shadows don't form harsh lines like that. Keep in mind how the image will look in final resolution, like where an end user will look at it. Softer and blurred lines become harder in small resolutions, so IMO its better to makes things a bit soft or blurred. Even if it looks too blurred at full res, it ought to look good at a small resolution. I haven't used illustrator for too many vectors so I'm not sure how easy that would be. I mainly use Inkscape.
The outlines are pretty accurate, but they look too skinny overall. Again with the scaling issue, it might look OK at full res, but then they looks small and aliased at a small resolution. For your next vector I would try to work on the outline thickness, making it a bit thicker and also more varied in thickness, I think it could add some nice depth to the vector if you did that.
I wasn't sure exactly what effect you were trying to get with the lighting but some parts looked a bit unnatural. Most of the gradients looked like radial gradients aligned to pretty much the center of the shape. I think some work could be done to make the lighting look a bit better and natural. Anyways, overall this is great work considering it's your first vector submitting on AP...so keep up the good work. You have lots of potential! I look forward to seeing what other things you can produce!

damn acid, your critique beats all of mine combined, I would like to say something about this but I am guessing I wouldn't need to say anything since you all ready did say what was I was going to say (just some parts of what you said).

Nice to see an AMG vector after this long. It's nicely done. Thanks!

On revision 2 I experimented with gmesh. I made the lines on her hair & instrument with the tablet.
