Hiiro no Kakera Burning Guardian

In revision 2, everything looks too orange-ish. The BG lacks in detail like everything is washed away. The mountains look too sharp. As you can see, your character is already up close so the BG should be blurred a bit or else everything looks too flat like everything looks too near. The maple leaves are too repetitive. I know it's hard to vector the leaves one by one but you should have placed variety even in their angles. I can actually match which clustered Maple leaf on the left is located on the right.

As for revision 1's BG - it is actually ok. I've got no problem on that one.

For both versions' character. The Hair looks ok to me, but not the skin and the clothes. They look like plastic to me especially the skin.

I think a change in your usual style would be better. Coz the way you vector things is kinda odd - yes it is fast, but there is something wrong like it looks too uniform or too light where it looks like you just overlayed a color of orange and then change the opacity to blend the character which is definitely not a good approach.

I hope you really improve. Ask help from people. They are always willing to help you or else your current skill would be put to waste.

Version 1 is superior to version 2 in so many ways. I do wonder sometimes why you try on providing more than one background. You can focus on doing just one and be successful in that one version instead. I'm actually impressed that version 1 has a soft background, which is something rare in your wallpapers, since their shading always seems to be strong and crisp, which is not always a good thing, especially when you decide to do scenic wallpapers. Extra cookies for the colors of the sky, it looks pretty vivid and beautiful.

I agree with Ash about the hair, it looks really good, I don't even mind the way the skin was colored, but on the other hand the clothing comes across as too stiff. You might want to lower oppacity of the shades and try to incorporate more different colors.

As for the other revision, there are so many things that need to be fixed lol. Starting from the painful orange layer that seems to have been overlayed all over the wallpaper to the repetitive leaves. The correct way of doing the lighting is not making the colour scheme the same, but using a similar colour palethe in terms of saturation.

I do hope you try to take these advices to heart and improve your submissions.

I actually prefer revision one on this one. It feels like his hair lighting and facial pose lends better to the lighter colors! You really are a master with the clouds these days! Superb colors on the light one!

The round shapes of the shadows really ruin the picture's overall look. It'd be better with more pointy/straight shapes. Also, different colors would do better for the shadows. It's too flat right now. I recommend gradients for this wallpaper! Also, you're a good waller, but you're using the safe zone too much by doing the same thing on all wallpapers. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but some variety would be nice for a change.

I like revision 1, it is simple, elegant and works perfectly well, as for revision 2 it feels way too orangish for me. Love the hair but i have to agree with everyone, the skin and the cloths need some work ...but all in all nice work
