Okay, I am tired of waiting for my first submission to pass from the front page, before submitting this one more play on the theme of the Iruma Kamiri shinobi. Both ☆Bantam and `CrimsonCyanide commented that the wall I had given the title, "The Night Watch" would have been a more desirable work if there had been only one chara as the focus. I had toyed with that concept before but simply was not comfortable with the end effect, but those comments were enough encouragement for me to try again and so I did.
The gallery painting hanging on the museum wall represents the famous woman samurai "Tomoe Gozen." She was the concubine of the general Minamoto no Yoshinaka. and, the cousin of the first shogun, and is one of the most notable heroines in Japanese history. Famous for her ability with a bow (which I really tried to keep in the scene but could not), and her looks, and her sword, and her ability to handle a horse (and in general everything that makes me think I missed out); she was my inspiration for this wall and "The Night Watch."
I started with this scan, and this photo of a Meiji Period woodblock triptych, that I would love to add to my print collection but…… Anyway I hope you guys will enjoy the effort, and thanks again to ☆Bantam and `CrimsonCyanide. I am sorry I made you wait before submitting this as a way of letting you know how much I appreciated your comments.

I am not sure about the Otaku slogan, but all in all this is one good wallpaper.
I liked the meji period reference.
The vector and colour works are good too. I think they can be used without any reserve as a replacement for the traditional art.
I would like a another version, without the Otaku slogan though.
Nice work.

No sense of composition or art direction. You could try finding a style of wallpaper you like and develop your own style from there.

In terms of direction I pretty much knew where I was heading; I just didn't get there. I originally abandoned this concept because I found it too difficult to present in terms of the triptych which is actually the central object here. Follow-up on the idea of poor composition, I would like to focus on that before putting any serious effort into trying anything else. Elaborate on your objections to the composition. A PM is fine if you would like to do it that way, but be advised I am definitely open to what you have to say.
