Personally, I like the transparent wings. However, just in case you don't, I've also uploaded the first draft with solid wings.
Created with Photoshop CS6. I like to sign with my real name, not that you know who I am anyways. : )
6/1/12: I added another revision with white, spreading wings. I also took some people's opinion of removing the chair and just let her float. 6/3/12: Per user comment, I fixed a few jagged edges and leftover background. Thank you!!

Nice Wallpaper, especially the background being the galaxy seems as tho everything is linked to each other, to the background, wings and the halo. Lovin' Angel Beats :D
Overall good work ! Fantastic !

This Wallpaper has a nice concept but in my opinion it isn't really good after all. Looks like "I take a nice char an put it to a few stock photos". Seems like perfectly drawn anime chars and painted stock photos are hard to match. The wings are a nice idea but i think they should be more white (and "pure") with a touch of purple - like Kanades hair. That would also be a better match to the background. And that brings me right to the next point: itchy edges on her hair, her legs and some parts of the wings. I don't really know what to do about this problem since I'm not into making wallpapers in any way, but perhaps a bit of a blur would help to improve some edges. I like Kanade (Good Smile Scale Figure stands right next to my screen) but not with cellulite like in this picture. And finally: Why is the earth just rolling 'round on her knees? Looks a bit weird... is this globe necessary?
Just a bit more work on this and you have done a great wallpaper :)

Angel Beats is one of my favorite anime, so I want to have this one in the desktop collection, for at least a while. I think that the comments so far are pretty good, so there is not a lot I think I can add that will be constructive, but as a matter of taste, I agree strongly that the globe on the knee is weird, especially since the planet is partially visible behind. Also the chair seems useless considering the setting of space.

This wallpaper looked quite well - on the thumbnail. However as I zoomed on, came clear that is it has quite a number of flaws. Flaws which doesn't really make it desktop-worth. First thing, horrible extraction. Do you know that proper extraction from a scan is the first thing what a waller should learn? (at least the ones who think about serious walling instead of submitting countless of barely-made-trough-the-minimal-requirement-walls) I suggest to take some proper tutorials from it (plenty on Youtube), also my tip is also to add a bit inner shadow to it on the end (with 0 distance and 1 px size) Backround. Well, it's a mix of stock thingies which doesn't really go with anime characters, and also I doubt that the solar system would have two earths. To say the truth, I think the earth in her hands could be scrapped down and it would even look better. Though, for beginners is always easier to start with abstract background, cause takes a lot of skill to implement a stock in a skillful way. Not at least, your description should be more informative about the work process itself. (I like such descriptions more as transparent wings - evil sarcasm) Is always easier to correct the flaws that way for us.

Jagged edge from the extraction is now fixed. Thank you. Of course, I only learned how to use Adobe stuff a week ago. Watched 20 videos yesterday and that was fruitful. The"path tool" is absolutely the best. As far is description. I don't think I am a good describer. Art is always open for personal interpretation. I don't think Vincent Van Gogh told everyone what he drew. I like to put a simple, short description of what I did, but as far as the content, please use your imagination. : )
PS, the 12 colonies have 12 earths, so to speak.... : )

I love Angel Beats so I am always so happy when a new wall paper comes out and I've got to say I like what you did with the background, it gives it a grander look if that makes sense.

Hah, that's the Multiverse Wallpaper I had. And it was used as the background. Sweet.
They've all said the pros and cons. I'll just leave this with a +fav and message of...
Entrust the Earth to a caring Angel's hands.

the halo on angel‘s head got a little big for her i mean angle is just a little girl and the Earth and background got a little reality for anime it's much better to make it more fantasy and close to the anime

Its ok. The wings are kind of distracting and look fake. However the colors are awesome. The galaxy and kanade really blend together and really show you what kanade would probably do if that happened. Pretty good.
