Hi! finally I made another wall :D while listenig over and over to the 25 anniversary Zelda Symphony :3 it's just too awesome
I've been studying like crazy so I needed to do something xD the sketch for the wall was so bad that I'm surprised it turned out decent looking. I wanted to practice some painting, since it's been a while. I REALLY have to practice and to improve...I'll try to make the next one better :)
Now, about the wall: it's something pretty simple. I just remade some parts of the scan, drew what was missing. I didn't vector the scan, I think it wasn't necessary, since the quality of it is great. In the scan there were some monsters but I really couldn't put them in the wall D: I don't even now why, they just didn't look good hahaha but I left the cute little monsters :3 I wouldn't mind having an army of them xD
I don't know anything of the character so I used another scan to use as a reference to draw the rest of the girl (and I also used it to make the bushes :D) if someone sees a mistake about her....well...I tried my best hahaha I made everything in CS3 (yeah I still use it, I was surprised the other day when I saw a CS6 xD) Time: about 10 hours Layers: huh...I think 100 Scans: main ,details

I did a hand (or at least a part of it) that looks like is a semi-closed fist. (Valuna's suggestion on MT) I also tried to make the bushes sharper by repainting them a little (Kopykat's suggestion)

great work on expanding the background^^ the trees look amazing and the detail on them isnt too much to attract too much attention from the character. it's nice that you changed the tress/plants in the foreground, but i personally think that the detail on them is lacking, especially on the left side and that for me is really taking away from the walls whole quality, but you did an amazing job on vectoring the character she looks wonderful^^

Thanks for the comment :) about the bushes: I used the ones that were in the second scan, and I really didn't want to change the artist style. I made them sharper, by repainting them, but I don't know how to make them more detailed without chanding the style of them. Also, since the picture is focused on her and the background I tried to do the foreground as less detailed as possible. I want to make it better, so do you have any suggestion?

maybe you could try to define the leaves by giving them not too bold outlines, like you did on the trees. on the second revision the lighter green leaves look really good, maybe you should try doing the same on darker green leaves too, it seems they look blurred on the left side, maybe you used smudge? if you sharpen them i think it'll be much better^^

It looks really good :3 Somehow the art and the colours in particular remind me of Wakfu somehow: warm and pastel. The extensions are well done. The only detail I am not too sure about is that the character is centred but it is not a big problem anyway.

Love the wallpaper! The colors and the art are amazing. I love that you didn't dumb down the wallpaper by putting some doofy catch-phrase on it. The background is great. It adds so much to the picture, but it doesn't detract my attention from the character. The only gripe I can possibly find with the wallpaper is that the hat doesn't seem right. She just doesn't seem to be wearing the hat. It seems more like the hat is just randomly above her. A hat of that magnitude would definitely be fitting snugly around her head.
Enough of my rambling. Amazing wallpaper. Absolutely love the colors.

When I spotted first, somehow reminded me of Touhou, dunno why (maybe a pretty witch?)
Anyways, well...don´t listen them. By a artist (and not series) based wallpaper is always better to keep yourself close to the style of the original author, even if means less details in the process. Is just good as it is, and I will personally grab the neck of the one who will complain about why she is centered xD (good walls with only 1 character always have them centered) Also the extension was done pretty well, deserved favorite. The only problem is that I need cut it for my 16:9/1920x1080 desktop. (I can manage it, no problem) +Fav

My first thought was Grim Grimore, cause that looked like minions and that was my first go to Japanese RTS with that kind of art.

This goes straight to my desktop. allow me to explain my reasons.
Perfect, flawless extension. There's no clue as to which parts you drew in yourself. The color scheme is a perfect match, as well. The clever use of complementary colors made the girl really pop out.
Some people may be uncomfortable with having the object of focus at the center as opposed to being closer to one of the edges. But the rule of thirds isn't exactly a strict rule, more like a guideline, and your careful composition managed to demonstrate this perfectly.
This is a good wallpaper. Give yourself a nice pat on the back for a job well done.

Wow! Such a great scan from The Witch and The Hundred Knights game! Anyway you did an awesome job extending the scan as if its really part of the original. Like also the idea by removing the monsters below her and replacing it with grasses since it may look crowded. Overall this wall is high quality and definitely a +fav! ^^,
