So... I kinda entered this competition in wallpaper games group, and the theme was a day in space.I totally forgot about it, until last week I got a reminder sent by the admins.
I always loved Doraemon, so I tried to create a pleasant wallpaper of him in space, with lots of stars, and a colorful spacescape.
As i couldn't find the image I wanted to use anywhere, I had to vector this exact image. 
To make my job easier, all of the vector (or like.... 90%) and the entire background was made using only the mouse, as my dear ol' pen tablet decided to die in my hands - so this time there's really not much room for perfecting the vector more than that, :(
I used lots of shadows and blurs so it would look a bit more tridimensional.
I kinda liked the final result... hope you guys do too.
PS: The title was a lame junction of "astronaut" and "doraemon" xD

The title is quite interesting, well...the problem is the very same as by that Sailormoon wallpaper. You cannot just put such simplistic vectors into almost photorealistic backgrounds. It needs to blend, one or the other needs to be more complex or more simple. On the source scan it looks much better, you could recreate something in a similar style with a lot of blue (!) which is currently is this wallpaper missing a lot. Color blending should be the very basic, now is just a vector pasted on a space background.

it's indeed a good one~ although i'm no good.. it just that i feel the doraemon and the background didn't match well.. think so.. but it's a good one... hehehe love for the first sight~
