Many thanks to the guys in session zero for helping me clean up this wall. I spent about 2 days on it, re-drew a good 1/8th, and tried to cure some grain issues. Hopefully this wall will be enjoyable to everyone else who loved the series as well. ^__^ I saw this scan after hunting around the net for some Maison Ikkoku walls, and I had to wall it. The beauty of LD covers was that the photos were made perfect for walls, as they had to occupy an immense amount of space on the disc cover, they took far more care in drawing them than DVD covers do. That said, I didn't feel the need to modify the photo much as it was well composed originally.

It's really hard to find a nice Maison Ikkoku walls around the net. I know because I've searched for hours before. I really like this a lot, thanks for making it and sharing it with us. :)

I intend to make walls out of quite a few of the LD covers if that's not too lame. Like I said, they're wonderufl layouts, and occupy the space well. Finding any decent scans is the real challenge. I dont intend to claim any type of creative credit for these, as it's more like a modifying/touch up process than a completely original work. However, the large manga style art book scans I may make into originals, so those should be interesting. And another thanks to the session zero guys.

Yay for old school Takahashi. I'm very fond of the image choices here. Kyoko's expression is absolutely perfect for what's happening above her with Mitaka and Godai. Ah... men.

Great job working with an older (and probably grainy) image to get this to work. I love Maison Ikkoku so seeing wallpapers for it makes me happy ^^

This scan you chose, with the "rivals in love" making faces at each other, and Kyoko wondering how hopeless they can get - good choice. It makes a good wallpaper, especially one that's as clear and bright as this. I wish I could get the original series in that kind of quality. Good job on getting a Maison Ikkoku paper out there for the fans of an older work.

Well i dunno what people dont like in it... I like wuit a lot. I like the colors. Even though there is nothing in the bg (plain white) the scan still adds a lot to it. Anyways, i think its pretty simple, but nice. Nice and clean
