Hi!
When I saw this picture I thought it's not usual to see a blue Inori...![]()
I really like the design of redjuice, this artist is wondderful! So I hope this vector is up! I really worked on this vector and all little details. Since I thought about a BG. As she has this pose, I wanted to find a nice idea for inclusion in a coherent background. I thought about a road, a japanese bridge or rocks floor, but finally chose to vectored stairs and walls with this perspective. It was very long and hard to make this, so I hope I succeeded. Then I added a painted sky, some roses, ivy, and vegetation to increase the realism. I finally workes on the general atmosphere, light and colors.
I hope you'll like it!

Charming, that's exactly the girl I want to see when I come up the stairs. It all matches. But to me it seems like you didn't put enough thought for the ivy and the roses. They look cartoonish, placed bad, and most of all - unnatural, you can't just copy and paste plants, almost never. Also, the shades all over might be a little off track.

really good but I think the wall's textures are a little simplistic

Okay, I hate to say this but your works resemble a sine wave; there are a lot of ups and downs. And here we are, at one of those lows again. Your vector is quite flawless and beautiful. However that's about it to this wallpaper's appeal. Your background overall is too simplistic when compared to the level of detail of your vector received and is almost screaming "lazy". The problem is I know you can do better because I have seen much better from you. The biggest issue about your background is the glaringly dull [and blank] wall on the right. At least applying some textures on it would make it seem less flat. This issue also applies to the wall on the left though to a lesser degree since there isn't as much visibility. Towards the back of the wallpaper feels very empty and neglected as all the little details (vegetation) are thrown onto the foreground.
In short, your background does not live up to your vector. A minimalistic wallpaper is fine but not when there is such a noticeable contrast of detail between the character and the rest of the wallpaper. I really hope that you'll start paying attention to your background again as I know that you can do much better. Let's try to keep all your works in the ups now eh?

lol there is no such thing as blue Inori. She's Lacia, a character from the visual novel BEATLESS.
Anyway. I don't really mind the simple background as in terms of elements, but I do mind it when in comes to the execution of it. The idea is lovely but the background is quite stiff. You even repeated the ivy leaves over and over, without even tweaking its colour in the process. If you really wanted to bring realism to this wallpaper (which is something that you really don't need for an anime wallpaper, in my opinion) you could have added some textures to the background, especially on the stairs and the wall. I wished you didn't resort so much on JUST a gradient for the shading on the vegetation, it looks plain instead of complimenting the scenery. The lighting needs improvement too. Right now it seems you just overlayed a solid-coloured layer to unify the colour scheme. You could try checking alenas' tutorial about the subject: click
And like VestigeL said, this wallpaper represents all the lows on a sine wave for sure.

It's been a while since I wrote long constructive criticisms, but here goes. I'm gonna drop all the sugar coating and go straight to the point to save me time.
Your vectoring as consistent quality always, it's smooth and the lines don't stick out awkwardly. But vectoring a painted work, especially one where the shapes are not exactly defined completely. I've noticed in your vectors it's mostly just shapes of different shades on top over each other. For scan like this one gradient or vexing is probably your best option. My biggest problem with this is the skin and legs. That line on her left check is just no, just no, look at the scan, the line suggested boundary between the reflected light and shadow on her face, but here? it's just a line that serves no purpose really cept to make it look weird :/ also the hair don't cast a deep enough shadow on the face.
The legs, those two blobs of highlights on them just stands out like a sore thumb. The lighting of it don't even make sense, using gradient for it is much better.
Onto the background, the settin'gs great. Except it don't fit in with the vector at all. it's like from 200% detail to 10% :/ Be consistent with your wall! If you're using 3 shades for colouring on the character for each colour, then do the same for the background. It just seemed like all your energy went to the vector and the background was just a lazy slap together of things. Especially when it's such a spacious background..no details leaves the viewer NOTHING to look at.
The leaves. I have no problem with copy pasting reusing cuz we all do that. but don't make it so obvious :/ from looking at it for 2 seconds I can tell all of the bundles of leaves are the exact same. The vectoring on the leaves and flowers leave much to be desired :/ there's not even shapes for the darks and lights anymore..it's just a blur of colour.
The grass comes out..pretty randomly, and again they're all copy and pasted. For such a small part I don't see the problem in i don't know..maybe re-make a new set?
Lastly the sky. It fits with the colour scheme on the girl, but it's light isn't reflected AT ALL in the environment created in this wall. Not only that, other than the colour, the sky hardly fits with this wall :/ It's wall too blurred for a sharply vectored wall like this. Ya sure, you don't have to vector them, but at least paint them in a more defined shape.
Overall all i can say is that you put most of your energy into vectoring what you're used to and relatively good at, then left the background to rot in laziness. If the background's forced you don't exactly have to make a wall, leave it as a vector or come up with a simpler background even. There's no point in a background that seems complicated but has no effort inputted into it

Always love your wallpapers Cilou! Again, another fantastic job. I love the background especially, I think it fits the character and her pose very well. The roses and flowers on the stairs/railing/wall is an elegant touch as well to the scene =]
I do have to agree though with other comments that the background is a little bland when compared to the vectoring of the character. The back of the stairs also seems empty and barren when compared to all of the vegetation up in the front. Maybe you could add some textures and some wear and tear to the stairs and walls, and add flowers more back of the stairs? The grass growing on the stairs suggests that the walkway is a little worn, and thus there are pockets of cracking allowing for the grass to grow.

Nice job~!! Lacia fit perfectly with the background.

All I can say is that the concept is really nice----------but the execution's not well done though. D: @VestigeL, @Fran, @kuryuki pretty much said all that needs attention in your wall and your way of walling.

Wow its Lacia! You keep on choosing good characters for you wall as always! Anyway as for your wallpaper I really do like the concept of your wall, though as VestigeL, Fran and kuryuki said there are ups and downs for this wall, The colour is too heavy and solid nothing much for the shadows and toning, for the background looks flat and it really does need a textures especially on the walls and stairs, The lighting effect is too stable and it need improvement as well.
Overall good concept and awesome vector as always though the whole wall needs more improvement or more like needs to be finished and not one of your best walls.

I like very much of the overall atmosphere and the character is really beauty, the bg it's a little weird maybe the contrast between the bg and the character details create some strange feeling, but anyway it's a good work mostly because of the character and choice of the bg, however, remains a little of discrepancy between your work.. Good work and thanks for sharing!!

Not going to repeat what everyone else said, just add some more bits and pieces:
the grass is too sharp and straight. I know they're called "blades of grass", but still. And as I recall, you got a comment on a previous wall about how you shouldn't make grass stick up like that. I dare you to go outside and find blades of grass that big that're standing up. Oh, and at a closer look, I see you copied the sets of grass on the stairs. Nice. /sarcasm
at least flip those leaves and the grass when you copy them so blatantly. Never mind modifying the colors. My previous comment about your background objects looking like clipart still stands, unfortunately. Like kuryuki said, of course you're allowed to copy/paste leaves, vectoring all of them individually is a lot of work, but add some variation in size and color. Also, ivy leaves aren't that big and densely stuck together like that.
stop using Drop Shadow in place of real, properly-done shadows. It's ugly. Likewise for the pillow shading.
the colors are all over the place, and the ones on the ivy make my eyes bleed. Nothing in this wall indicates it should be colored like that.
the perspective on the wall on the right and the stairs is good, but the wall on the left looks like it's upside down. Wut.
By the way, do read Alenas's tutorial that Fran linked to, it's excellent. And I would rather you tell us in your description if you plan to take any critique seriously (hell, if you even read it), because this just seems like a giant waste of time and people keep pointing out your mistakes, yet you never try to do anything to improve.

add some texture to the walls cracks or something that looks like concrete

Good work with the vectoring...but it looks really flat....

Nice wallpaper, but I feel there should have been a better contrast between the colour of the sky and the colour of the clothing and hair of the person.
